Anyone see Vince posterize Brian Cook on an alley oop? Seconds after getting into a argument with Kobe that resulted in double technical. Jason Kidd has had some impressive passes tonight vintage Jason Kidd stuff.
My bad I didnt get a chance to post the up coming game schedule, so the lack of a Laker/Nets thread was nobdies fault but my own....hopefully, it wont happen again...but a very busy holiday weekend for me. Anyway, big win tonght, it shouldnt have took overtime to pull off the W, but when you leave the window open for Kobe as long as the Nets did, he is bound to make some big plays eventually...and he did down the stretch. But at the end this was vintage Jason Kidd, he just found ways to keep us a head all night and even though he missed the big free throw...his defense on Kobe early and his decision making were the keys to the victory. Kidd just tore those young Laker guards apart with his bag of tricks. Kobe and Vince really got into a very heated and pshyical matchup tonights but you have to give credit to Kobe because he guard Vince extremely well and go in his chest and kind of won the mental battle between those two. The matchup would have been more interesting though if, Vince would have guarded Kobe. But Vince and RJ was in foul trouble, so the Nets had to relief Carter of defending Kobe to keep him out of Foul trouble. Nenad Krstic was big too, they didnt really have anyone to matchup with him, Cook gave them a little something..but without Brown, Krstic was able to get inside postion all night and especially on the boards. Hopefully New Jersey can carry tonight's effort over to Denver tommorrow and add in stronger preformances from Jefferson and Carter...and we could actually end up saving face on this trip with a 2-3 record if we get the W.
That game was really exciting but too close by the end. I think this is a confidence builder. Kidd played incredible. In this game he pentrated to which made the game better for the Nets. When he stays on the permeter the Nets don't play well. If he continues to to play the like that, Nets will win more. He just took over the game late and became the number one option Btw the ally-oop Kidd to Carter was hot!

Anyone else notice that LA plays better when Kobe isn't scoring as much? They play better when they run through Lamar. Sure Kobe can score 40, but it takes his teammates out of the game, and tonight his % wasn't good.
Well when Kobe wasn't scoring, the Lakers were playing awful. When he started taking shots, they played better. I have no idea what your talking about.
