The Mavs play Monday in Toronto, so that may have some effect on this game. For some reason I see Bobby and the Bucks bouncing out of their slump and winning this game. Bucks 115 Mavs 105
Nice Game Thread gmanspack. I'm not looking for the mavs to win this either, since they suck fatties when their coming off of a back to back. But I think that Keith is going to get the start tonight. Darrell started last night cuz of the small back-court with Toronto in Mike James, and Jose Calderon. Should still be a good match-up with Bogut and Dirk, I wish I could of watched this one.
The Mavs are a team that can stay right with us if we try to outscore our opponent rather than play defense...again. We'll need a good defensive effort, and I think that like we did with the Sixers when they came to Milwaukee, we need to worry about stopping the complementary players, not Dirk. Dirk is going to get his points, we have to make sure that Terry, KVH, Dampier or someone else doesn't explode for 25 on us. We MUST play defense, because we need this game to avoid falling below .500. Bucks 107 Mavs 104
The Mavs are vulnerable right now, the key to their success seems to be the game play of Jason Terry. When he's scoring, they win, when he's passive they lose. With Josh Howard and Jerry Stackhouse out, the Bucks have to take advantage and pound this team on the inside. The Mavs miss Howard's energy on defense, and his presence on the glass. Erick Dampier is very foul prone and the Bucks have to force him off the court. Diop is playing well off the bench, but he is also foul prone and the Bucks can really dominate the inside if they pound inside. Dallas is a bad team when you limit them to only one shot on offense and limit their shot opportunities overall. So far the Bucks haven't played well defensively, but they have a decisive advantage on the inside. Bogut has to be aggressive on offense tonight and make Dirk work on both ends. It's going to be a tough matchup for him if Dirk doesn't have to use energy on defense. I think the Bucks have to use Gadz tonight to help out on Dirk and KVH. Should be an exciting game because these teams match up fairly well. Without a healthy roster, I favor the Bucks slightly tonight.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting AznxBaller:</div><div class="quote_post">Is there a reason why Redd's not playing?</div> thats my question too, where is michael redd??? without him i don't think the bucks will win
Bucks win, 113-111 in OT Bogut with a career high 19 pts and 14 boards, and a key block on Terry on the last play of the game to win it for the Bucks. TJ Ford also came through with a career high, 26 points and 7 assists, including a clutch 3 that gave us teh lead for good. Michael Redd did not play (thigh bruise), neither did Joe Smith (knee). Dirk was ice cold all game, finishing with 18 points and 12 boards, but on 5/22 shooting. Bobby Simmons was also big, with a season high 30 points and 8 boards. Bogut was 19/14 and 2 blocks, 7/14 from the floor and 5/6 from the line. HUGE game by Bogut. People keep saying "he's not putting up numbers" and "he doesn't look like a star", but this kid is as fundamentally sound as any big rookie I've ever seen. He does all the little things, great rebounder, blocks and contests shots, passes great, plays passing lanes, and goes hard to the rack when he gets the ball in the paint. I love how he's playing. GREAT win for the Bucks, great game.

Nice find on the pic. Bogut should add that to his rookie scrapbook. Impressive win by the Bucks, and congrats to all the players with career nights. Winning without your star player will breed confidence into the rest of the team. The Bucks have a chance to put together a nice 3 game win streak before they lose to my Lakers.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting shapecity:</div><div class="quote_post">before they lose to my Lakers.</div> I don't know man, those Bucks look pretty good. I love to see this team start winning again. Last year seems to have been fluke put upon us by some pretty incredible circumstances. The more they can play and win tight games like this one, the more likey they are to take somebody by surprise come playoff time. Experience breeds confidence in those situations, no one needs more confidence than this group, coming off of last year's debacle.
