On this road trip, i think Hoffa played Aight, not great but Aight...he actually made some nice post moves, played tough D, and didnt back down to nobody... the raps dont need much out of him anyway, maybe 8-10 pts, and 8-10 boards a game, im happy... No freebie layups as well... Is it just me?
8-10 boards a game is a little much for him. I'm happy he's putting in the effort. He is definately working hard on his game, and improvements will come, as long as he is giving it his all. But yes, I am very pleased with how he is playing.
There isn't really a stat that measure presence in the post, but thats basically all I expect out of him. Box out, guard the biggest player on the opposing team, and rebound.

A guy like Erick Dampier is usually not that bad a match-up for Hof, because he can lean on him a bit and not get exposed athletically, especially since Damp seemingly plays with a wooden leg, much like Kerry Von Erich. Brad Miller is a similar type of center -- not too explosive, more of a plodder I think Araujo is showing better presence in the post and I have to admit I liked what I saw recently with some of the little pivots and hooks he's shown. If you are playing him I think you have to show him the ball in a good spot in the very early going. All the games that he's done well in he has made a play in the first minute or two and that seems to get him the confidence he needs to help energize the rest of his game I don't know that Hof will ever be a great NBA center, but I like that he leans on anything coming through the lane and doesn't mind gooning it up a bit. His exchange with Bonzi Wells in Sac-Town was very welcome and I liked seeing it from someone, anyone on the Barneys. The Raptors have a lot of nice guys -- they need someone who's a little more of a killer. Right now Mike James is the only guy with that kind of edge to him, although Bosh shows that a little more every night I still think that the Barneys can get into the deep 20's in wins this year Have fun.............
