For the first time this season I won't be able to watch the game because of a exam I have tomorrow... Please leave detailed descriptions of Diogu's play please [IMG]

    This should be interesting

    1st unit
    Baron Davis vs Chris Paul

    2nd unit
    Derek Fisher vs. Speedy CLaxton

Claxton might be hurt again so we'll probably be facing that lithuanian guard they have (something -auskus) Arvydas Macijauskas

The Hornets might be a good team in transition, so we can't settle for the long 3's unless we're making an effort to get back on transition D or start making them. The long 3's are what causes easy layups going the other way.

We also have to defend dribble penetration and rebound the ball a bit better. We can zone up on certain matchups if they are below 34% shooters, but we can't allow easy layups or dish off passes to players underneath our baskets. We have to really crowd that lane and basically play the way we've done against Portland and Milwaukee.

The Hornets don't have a real huge lineup so we might be able to get away with playing small. Baron Davis, Fisher, Richardson, Ike, Dunleavy. That's a three (four) guard lineup we can use to move the ball around and we can feed the post through Diogu.

The Hornets have a few suspect ballhandlers outside of Chris Paul, so as long as Paul stays as point guard and we have guys out on the court that are defensively aware of the passing lanes, we could capitalize on a lot of steals for fastbreaks of our own. If Paul plays shooting guard, we can go small as well or we can use either Baron or Richardson to post him up and maybe get some easy touch fouls and 3-point plays in the process.

Others players to watch out for are David West (his numbers have been great in terms of scoring and he's got good court vision. He's been pretty big in recent games). Doesn't rebound the ball that well compared to Murphy or Ike, but he can score in the post and hit the midrange shot). Another guy is Desmond Mason. He's been a consistent scorer from midrange once he's found his groove and he's a good defender. Then there's Speedy Claxton when he's healthy (excellent one on one player, a ball thief). J.R. Smith has shown some flashes of being a great scorer. Is he consistent enough? He has very raw skills compared to other starting two guards, but shoots the 3-ball at 38%. PJ Brown offers solid veteran presence, sets hard picks, plays tough and he's a good rebounder.

I think the Warriors can win this easily, but they have to play smart and with a sense of urgency.

I hope to see more Zarko and Ike together on the floor again after that alley-oop dunk last night.

You'd think we would try to post up Murphy since that worked pretty well against Toronto. We should also be posting up Baron on Paul...

The Warriors look a little too lax... but nice start for Dunleavy. It's all about the 2nd half. First half is used to pace ourselves, probe weaknesses, see what the other team is about. Then the second half we should come out all knowing what to expect and how to exploit the other team the rest of the way.

Well the Warriors picked it up thx to Dunleavy's early start (he's hurt right now, could be a hamstring) and Troy Murphy's scoring. Richardson had some nice assists and Diogu was boxing out for other people. Cheaney had some good moments with the three shots in a row. Biedrins, Diogu and Murphy both have earned us a couple of extra posessions either by hustling or getting it from their teammates boxing out or tipping the passes to them.

Richardson despite struggling has been hustling and find other ways to be productive.

He had two good ones. One was a dunk he did similar to the one on Jermaine O'neil awhile back. The other was the two hander.

Hes okay but I think now that we have some control over the game they are going to rest him a bit. He only played about half of the third but looked good.

Did anyone notice Derek Fisher is our leading scorer with 17pts on 6-8 from the field? 5-5 from 3pt land? [IMG]

Fisher is on fire. He's the ultimate role player in the catch and shoot mode. But he's also doing other things in his offensive game.
