LOL. I wonder if anyone that isn't a Rockets Fan has anything good to say about Yao. Yao is so uncool. (Sorry if I affended you, but truthfully thats what people believe) I think Yao = 3 Chandlers. What do you guys think? Edit: Hmmm, I think Yao has a great FT% for a really big man unlike shJaq, plus has a shot. I remember his rookie season when he shot 3 pointers. Wow, If ??Wallace?? had that, it would be all over these Yao vs ???? threads. Edit: I am not trying to be rascist, but its sad that people look at Yao that way, and it is true, a lot of my friends believe this. People call him trash and give him no credit. They even throw in things like "If he were black he would own the game, but chin...peple suck. He is 7-6 but can't even get 10 rebounds."
It all depends. Yao is a lot better on offense than Chandler, but Chandler is a better defender. I'd say they're both equal on the boards. Chandler fits in perfectly with his team, but I'd still say Yao is a little better

I can't believe anyone could even think that Chandler is better than Yao. Maybe in certain aspects of the game he is, but as a basketball player Yao is so much better. Yao is fundamentally sound. He can shoot, pass and knows where to be on the court throughout the game. I would consider him the better defensive player too, but that is arguable. The only advantage Chandler has over Yao is his athleticism and possibly rebounding. Other than that Yao bests him in just about everything else.
Chandler is a very good defensive player and rebounder. Yao is a very good offensive player. Chandler is a terrible offensive player. Yao is an average defensive player and rebounder. Overall, I'd say Yao is the bigger impact, more valuable player. If you look back over the last 20 years or so, it's rare to find a bad team with a center who's a good scorer in the post. High scoring centers are a high value commodity in the NBA and for good reason.
