Should be up and down and high scoring, as both teams play little to no defense. I wouldn't be surprised to see Iverson go for 50 tonight since we have nobody to guard him. Paul Pierce has trouble with Iguodala, so he might have an off night. I hope we can bounce back, but I'm predicting a Sixers victory.
We played nice defense last night, plus the O was pretty scorching. But you never know when these 2 division rivals hookup. Should be a good one.
Looks like it's a coming out party for my boy Kendrick Perkins tonight. He's got a double double and it wasn't even halftime yet. I have to say, if there's anybody I want to see play well on the Celtics, it's him. I know he won't be doing this every night, but hopefully he can gain some confidence from it, because he that's his major problem right now. It's now halftime, and we're up 51-50. Hopefully we can continue on with the lead, and keep our advantage on the boards. But most importantly, let's see Kendrick go for 20 and 15!
Dude, that's crap. The refs totally screwed the 6ers in the 4th man. Pierce throwing Iggy to the floor (no call), Goal tending on Sammie when the ball was clearly of the rim (BS), and the Pierce no-call when Dalembert was clearing outside the circle charging into him (call on Sammie). Total BS, IMO. It's ok we'll get further than the Celts this year. Bet on it.
There certainly were some questionable calls, but that was not the reason we lose tonight. We lost because we got outrebounded again! We lost because we had very little help for Iverson and Webber... and Salmons didn't have his usual good game off the bench. It's alright though, it was an entertaining game, but there certainly were some questionable calls down the stretch, but usually the home team gets those calls anyway. Still a long season ahead of us. Good game by Perkins though, he's going to be a beast. By the way, why doesn't Al Jefferson get more minutes? I figured coming into the season he'd get a lot of playing time, but he hasn't gotten that yet.

Perkins was called for a technical foul because he and Iverson got wrapped up and AI decided to become an Academy Award winning actor. Also, they showed a replay of the Dalembert goaltend on FSN NE, and the ball was sitting on the rim when he touched it. And the most amazing part of the officiating was how many times Iverson was bailed out by a call. The free throw count was 37-35 in our advantage, which is rare because the home team has a bigger advantage than that most of the time. As for Philly getting further than the Celtics, why even say that? We have a total of 4 veterans on our entire roster. I hope for Philly's sake that they do go further. They were on the bad end of a back-to-back and on the road. I thought that was evident by their 4th quarter play. They were obviously tired, and they came right out of their game because of that. As for the game, Perk ended up going for 12 points, 19 rebounds, and 4 assists in his breakout game. Paul Pierce had 32 and 11 boards, and he really carried us in the 4th like usual. The biggest story of the game was our ability to control the boards, in particular it was Perkins who made the difference. I think that his presence turned us into a different team than we have been with Mark Blount. Hopefully, he can continue on in the starting role, playing physical and racking up boards. If he can give us 10 rebounds a game, we will compete for the division. If he falls off, we won't make the playoffs.<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Big Mo763:</div><div class="quote_post"> By the way, why doesn't Al Jefferson get more minutes? He's still slowly coming back from it now, as it was an ankle injury that kept him off his feet and away from the gym for a while. You can see him improving every game, and hopefully he'll be 100% and getting more PT soon.

One.
I know, I was just worked up like anyone after a lose. Plus, I only watched the 4th quarted cause I'm at work. lol
Perk Perk Perk Perk Perk... What a game! That kid had such an impact on tonight's win, he brought so much energy and life to the team. Im glad to see him in the starting lineup, he deserves the spot and its a good move for the team; seeing how Blount has decided to go back to his usual form (sucking) hopefully this move will light a fire under his ass and motivate him so he can get rolling back on the right track, then he can be a force off the bench. Pierce had another solid game! Davis had some poor shooting in the first half but corrected that by the end of the game and ended up with a good offensive night overall, and making a few crucial shots towards the end. Got to give BIG props to West and Greene for covering Iverson, though he was able to score 40 points somewhat effortlessly they both did a good job defending him (11-27) causing him to force a lot of shots. If only we could just stop turning the ball over, we will be better off. Good, Intense Game.

We get pretty emotional with losses, and sometimes it brings some ugliness out. But tomorrow's always another game, and I think this 6'ers team is headed in a good direction, so you can expect some great play out of them, not only the near future, but in the long term as well. Up and comers like Salmons and Iggy will see to that.
