I normally dont really care about the Power Rankings, but this year is a little different. We could be ranked even higher than the #9 spot we are ranked here considering the Nuggets who are barely over .500 are at 7 and have stayed at 7 since last week. We are the lowest ranked double digit win team on the rankings. There are only 5 of them as of the rankings and we are #9!

I say next week we will be above the Clippers who are ranked #6 in this ranking...

I think the warriors are ranked so low even though they have double digit wins is because they've beaten up on a lot of sub-500 teams, plus one of the reasons they have eleven wins is because they've played a ton of games. But if they can beat Phoenix and Charlotte this weak they should move up alot.

But still, this is not the BCS! Strength of schedule is usually not taken into consideration in these rankings...

True. They can rank us 30th, as long as the warriors make the playoffs and the championship. [IMG]

But yeah, it would be great to get some respect in the rankings.

^Actually, it has similarities with the bcs. Of course theyre going to rank you higher if you beat the Spurs as opposed to beating the Hawks. I disagree with the prediction of the Warriors passing the Clipps in the rankings. The Clippers are a complete team this year, theyre capable of beating anyone. I dont think the same can be said for the W's.

I am going to disagree with you because I dont see any real glaring holes especially when it comes to comparing to other teams. For instance....

I think Baron is better than anything the Clips have to offer from the PG spot

I think Magette and Jrich are a wash, they both are similar in abilities

Dunleavy when he is playing well like he is starting to do is a decent SF. You cant have All Stars at all positions

Brand is playing out of his mind. I think Murphy is solid though by racking up his double doubles.

Foyle is good defensively and the Clippers dont really have anyone special at Center

Our bench is just as deep with Fisher playing great, Pietrus when he comes back from his knee sprain and with the emergence of Diogu as a doube digit capable scorer in limited minutes.

We can't have allstars at all of our positions, but why the hell is Dunleavy paid almost like one? This guy is making more than Rashard Lewis or Peja Stojakavic if you think on average how much he'll make per year with his new contract. It's ridiculous. He must be night and day when it comes to performing in practice versus actual game time. Nobody rewards that much money to a guy who gradually improved and still hasn't shown much in the NBA results wise. Not unless there's some kind of scheme to bring back old school players and hope they are the next Larry Bird. Not unless there's some kind of scheme to make it so Dunleavy Jr. will coach for us someday.

Well, I think 9th seems just about right for current group. Denver is a bit of stretch right now, but other then that, I can't really complain at this point. Also, we don't have a key victory against elite teams to say we deserve better than 9th, and even though we went 29-16 with Davis and launched 3 pts afte 3 pts, there are many people who doesn't like how we are playing. But, I have no idea why 76ers, Bulls and Wolves are above Suns and Heat...
