This guy is a QB. He showed it last night in a classic game. Now granted he is not of Matt Leinart or Omar Jacobs as a pro prospect but anyone who thinks he's Mike Vick with a worse arm is wrong. He does have a good arm and is very accurate. He does like to stay i n the pocket and step up and make a nice throw. He threw for close to 300 yards and ran for 70. The game was a classic but Young is a QB. Now if he can limit is dumb mistakes he'll be a top 5 pick for sure.

Definately a better passer than Vick is right now. He also reads defenses better right now too, but then again, who doesnt? Also, he is 6 inches taller than Vick, which means if he stops throwing bonehead ints he will be 1st rd pick. Reminds me of Jake Plummer, always leading a comeback, cuz his own mistakes put team behind.

That sure was a hell of a game last night sadly my Buckeyes fell. Vince Young has proved me wrong he's everything Vick was supposed to be, Great arm and great legs a deadly combo.

Didn't get a chance to watch the game as I was at the Utah/Utah St game. I am sure I'll see Vince & Mack Brown screw things up when they play OU.

The QB that impressed me yesterday was Charlie Whitehurst of Clemson.

Yea Charlie Whitehurst went from a 2nd round projected pick as a soph to a non drafted QB as a JR. but he's bounced back and has played well. Miami vs Clemson is gonna be nice.

Shockley of Georgia and Leak of Florida have also been impressive so far.

vince young did not play that nice of a game he was pretty much contained by the buckeye linebackers, and i may be biased because im a huge buckeye fan, but vince young didnt necessarily win that game as much as the buckeyes gave him that game. Granted he is an outstanding athlete, but he doesnt have the legs or the arm of mike vick. He may be a little smarter with the ball but not by much vince still has a lot to prove. The only thing that i can say about him is that he is very poised. Ohio state had texas on the ropes but he never lost his confidence and made a couple nice plays on that last drive to win.

Both teams made their mistakes. Young led that game winning drive and is very poised like you said. He does have a hell of an arm though. Way more accurate than the Vick brothers.

I agree young is more accurate than the vick brothers but arm strength he is behind them, and i am not trying to bring down vince young in any way he just is not a superstar yet. I cant see him winning the heisman this year. hes got all the tools to become a potential all star he just hasnt honed his skills yet. i was not implying that he is not a good quarterback he is. hes just not great yet. Leinhart is great. Young is good. when young learns when to run and when to throw and who to throw to i think we'll be watchin him in hawaii every year when he gets in the nfl

Sorry for posting twice but i have another topic to talk about and just thought about it after i posted the last one. But i think Leak will have a break out year for florida, because he fits meyers system perfectly. I am from ohio so i saw him at bowling green, and i saw him take them to a top 25 team. He had a qb named josh harris (probably never heard of him) neither had i until last year but josh was a mobile quarterback that could throw. Josh ended up gettin drafted by the ravens after that year with meyer. Then alex smith. I hadnt followed college football that close before last year, so i had not heard of alex smith before last year, and what do u know in meyers system he becomes the number one pick in the draft. Now meyer has a quarterback who is extremely mobile and a proficient passer. I think Leak will explode in this system, and become a top 10 pick for sure.

Right now I'd rate him #3 behind Leinart and Jacobs. I like his size in the pros way more than Chris Leak's. Brodie Croyle and Charile Whitehurst are the sleepers though.

I agree with you 100% ive been saying that for a long time. Chris Leak is gonna have a huge year. So i think if all three QBs(leinhart, leak and Jacobs come out this year) we will have them going in at least the top 10 picks because browns, cardinals(warner on 1 year contract), bears, and maybe dolphins are looking for a talented QB and this draft is full of them

and your both wrong. Chris Leak is under 6 foot tall. He'll get downgraded right there to out of the top 10 for sure. Young,Jacobs, and Leinart are all ahead of Leak as draft prospects. When your 5'11" your not gonna be picked in the top 10 and Leak isn't winning no Heisman. He'll be a Jason Cambell area type of draft pick.

haha college ratings have nothing to do with draft status. See Ken Dorsey and Michael Vick.

Im not saying that Leak is going to be a good quarterback, just like i believe alex smith isnt going to be a good quarterback. Im saying that he is going to excel in Meyers system, because the quarterback always has, and with Leaks previoius hype he will be drafted higher than he deserves. I think Leak is a good qb but i dont think he will be as good as people expect him to be throughout his career. Leak is small for a qb but half of urban meyers system is to have the qb run so being short wont affect him too much.

No way 3 qbs go in top 10 next year. 2 tops, even if they are all taht good. Need will prevent that from happening
