<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Chris Bosh wouldn't mind seeing his Raptors teammates get their elbows up a little more often. With six losses in a row and 15 in 16 games, the arrows could be pointed at numerous reasons for Toronto's start to the 2005-06 NBA season. In Bosh's mind, it starts in one area. "We tend not to be aggressive," Bosh said. "We stop being aggressive down the stretch of a game. Not that we are looking for something to go wrong, but the minute the aggression starts, the other team knocks us back on our heels and now we are too timid, we are not making hard cuts, we are not looking to score. That is where mistakes come from." From where does the lack of a killer instinct originate? "I think it is youth," Bosh said. "I am young too. I have the ball in my hand down the stretch, and I know I was not that aggressive. You have to go through it to learn it." The idea that losing has been acceptable is not one that Bosh believes. "It is never acceptable," Bosh said. "I look at guys' faces after every game, and they are mad. The minute that losing is acceptable, people should turn in their uniforms." </div> Source
man other then Araujo and Graham, we give cheap fouls... if they drive down out lane whack them... so them that its our house, and if you want to come in you gotta pay a price... bosh is right... he too needs to step up on defense though...
Bosh isn't in a position to make this comment IMO. He is as passive as they come and will settle for the jumper two out of three times. He is unstoppable off the dribble but he mostly takes the mid range J. Although he hits that shot with a certain degree of accuracy, it's not as effective as the dribble drive. Also, on defense, Bosh is a bit too passive. For a power forward, he doesn't foul as much as he should, but that means that the other team gets a few baskets because of Bosh's unwillingness to foul.
^ Did you watch the Sacramento game? He was demanding the ball a lot down the stretch, but didn't get a touch for like 4 possesions. He wants the ball, it just seems that Rose or somebody else always fail to get him the ball and shoot a jumpshot.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Locke:</div><div class="quote_post">Bosh isn't in a position to make this comment IMO.</div> Nobody has really been able to lead by example, because they all got their faults. But, Bosh has taken it upon himself to be a vocal leader this year. I think he can and should be making these comments, because he's definitely shown the desire to improve and the Raps need a leader.
