<div class="quote_poster">Quoting SupraJames:</div><div class="quote_post">Do you always have to bring up the Kings into everything? There is nothing resembling a rivalry right now between the Lakers and the Kings.</div> Exactly. All of the players that made that rivalry are gone: Shaq, Divac, Webber, Christie, Fox. Really, the Lakers-Kings wasn't a rivalry because it was always so one-sided. One of the biggest rivalries of all time is the Bucks vs Lakers, but most of the people here don't really read up on the history of the L.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting superman32:</div><div class="quote_post">of all time : pistons - lakers when the pistons ended the lakers 80's dominance, and when they beat the super pumped up lakers of 03-04. now: pacers-pistons, the brawl added tension to the post season upset a few months before... the pistons seem to be winning this one</div> all-time u gotta go w/ celtics-lakers c's and lakers met 8 times in the finals pistons lakers met twice
I forgot about Pistons and Heat. When the season started, TNT had an interview with Wade and he still had to the thought of losing that Game 7 last year against Detroit in his head. He`ll be out for revenge this season.
Also there is the Knicks vs. Heat rivalry that one really set off during the fight between them. It has lost steam in the last couple years but they still have beef.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting babybulls:</div><div class="quote_post">all-time u gotta go w/ celtics-lakers c's and lakers met 8 times in the finals pistons lakers met twice</div> i kno, i 4got about that one... magic and larry bird and their grudging.... I think the pacers-pistons gets that heated sometimes... ive seen larry and kareem swing some punches before.. ive also seen the brawl at the palace
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> Someone on the Wizards (I can never remember who) shoved Antonio Davis in that fight. When Davis started going after him the guy ran away. It was a pretty big fight. Anyone have a video clip of it? </div> Ah yes I remember now, but it never really manifested itself into a rivalry, I believe there has to be good heated games involved before you get a true rivalry, but if they meet in the playoffs again it can no doubt be the makings of one.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Detroit_Rocks:</div><div class="quote_post">Pistons Celtics has always been a good one.</div> i think nets celtics was bigger than pistons celtics
Also I just thought of this how bout Cavs vs Nuggets since they drafted James and Anthony it has been a rivalry.
Heat/Lakers Even though this "rivalry" has been created by the media I still find it the most interesting matchup in the game today. This is probably just my opinion though. Pistons and Pacers are another one. All Time it is the Lakers/Cs no doubt.
i'm going to have to disagree with LrB21. i definitely think that the spurs-pistons is a rivalry, if just an emerging one. any time two solid squads with championship potential face off... competitive drive kicks in and you're going to have rivalry develop. the heat-lakers is another good one, if only because the personalities involved have made it impossible to ignore. drama, drama, drama... they've set both rivalries for christmas day. abc is broadcasting the games back-to-back... which may be the only thing to get me through a day with the extended family.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting The_Legend_23:</div><div class="quote_post"></div> That really brings back memories and how Miller always ruined the Knicks chances of winning.
