vs. <font color=""DarkRed"">Chicago Bulls (8-7)</font> vs. <font color=""RoyalBlue"">Dallas Mavericks (11-5)</font> Time: Monday, 7:30 pm Projected Starting Lineups <font color=""DarkRed"">Chicago Bulls</font> PG- Chris Duhon SG- Kirk Hinrich SF-Andres Nocioni PF- Michael Sweetney C- Tyson Chandler Head Coach: Scott Skiles <font color=""RoyalBlue"">Dallas Mavericks</font> PG- Jason Terry SG- Devin Harris SF-Marquis Daniels PF- Dirk Nowitzki C- Erick Dampier Head Coach: Avery Johnson <u>Bulls Potential MVP</u> The key to Monday's game for the Chicago Bulls is to utilize Tyson Chandler's size and energy. With Erick Dampier coasting through much of the year this is a change for Tyson Chandler to break out for a huge game. The paint will be his and Sweetney's to own. Chandler will have a bezy of uncontested rebounds and put-backs that should play right into his game and give a tempo/energy advantage to the Bulls Projected Stats: 14 points, 13 rebounds <u>Keys to the Game:</u> <ul> [*]<font color=""DarkRed"">Slow the game down</font>: Dallas loves to run and score in bunches, the Bulls would be wise to make Dalls play their game, set offenses, slow-tempo will play into the Bulls favor. [*]<font color=""DarkRed"">Tight Defense on Dirk</font>: If the Bulls saw what Bruce Bowen and the Spurs did to Dirk on Thursday, the key to defeating the Mavs is shutting Dirk down. The Spurs allowed other guys to hit shots (e.g. Daniels), instead of allowing Dirk to get hot. If the Bulls do that, another victory might be in store.
<ul> [*]<font color=""RoyalBlue"">Find Dirk's Game</font>: It's no surprise that Nowitzki has been on a cold streak as of late, hes getting his points, but its coming at a price of awful FG% (outside of the NO game). The Mavs live and die by Dirk these days, so if he can get hot, the Mavs can get hot. [*]<font color=""RoyalBlue"">Utilize Double Teams</font>: While the Mavs did lose to S.A. last weekend, one great thing came out of the game, the emergence (re-emergnece) of Marquis Daniels who finally seemed to find his stroke, getting many open looks. If the Bulls double Dirk, finding Daniels for open shots might very well be the key to victory.
Prediction: Both teams have had up and down weeks, but Dallas is coming off a big win at home against the Hornets which will bring momentum in their favor. The Bulls defense has looked good as of late, but Dirk's good shooting against the Hornets might very well be the spark he and the Mavericks needed to get their game tempo back. Tyson Chandler and Michael Sweetney will have free-reign in the paint, and must be able to secure key offensive and defensive rebounds and utilize their low-post energy. However, Dallas will be too much on the perimiter for the Bulls to handle, Dallas wins in a tight one. <font color=""RoyalBlue"">Dallas</font> 97 <font color=""DarkRed"">Chicago</font> 93
Nice preview, I also think Chandler has the capability of having a big night. He is coming off his best game of the season, and is feeling good about himself. Erick Dampier has underachieved for the Mavericks this season though Diop is a good rebounder Chandler should take advantage of this match-up. The Bulls will come out with more fire I think though. They always seem to perform well against the Mavericks, and they have to play the Pistons again in the next couple days after this game so they don?t want to go into that game with the risk of falling under .500 looming over head. I will take the Bulls by six.
cool devin harris will start! and kirk hinrich needs to step his game up, the bulls needs to get every1 involed in the offense i think the bulls would have a chance to win if they can find a way to stop dirk nowitzki
gordon is carrying the team right now, everybody else needs to step their game up, and what happend to hinrich??
I saw a clip where i think he got hit by Dirk while dirk was going up for a layup, was helped out of the court.
Yeah I was at the game and the best I could tell he went up for a layup got hit by Dirk/Dampier then went crashing into some cameras then just stayed down, he didn't move much and they had to help him off the court. He never returned, and according to ESPN, he was out with a concussion.
where did these uniforms come from, I've never seen them before are they throwbacks? Edit: The Bulls wore the uniforms of the Chicago Stags, an NBA team from 1946 to 1950. personally i hope it was just a one time bringing back of those jerseys
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting NaKz:</div><div class="quote_post">Is there any information on how long hinrich is out for if he is at all?</div> I heard on the radio it was just a concussion, so prolly not long if any games.
