Well the big three thing isn't working and so we need to add someone else to our team. We need some kind of good trade to strenghten our team. Im not really not sure who we can trade but I hope you guys have some ideas. The Raptors game really scared me.
Trade Carter for a big man I would love to see K-Mart back with the nuggets how about a Carter trade to the Hawks for Al Harrington and Childress? IMO this would be good for both teams for the Hawks--> They can start their rookie Marvin Williams, and Al Harrington would have probably left them by the end of this season anyways

Nets seem like to team to likely start rebuilding but Im sure Kidd wouldn't want to be part of it. He wants a championship and I think he deserves it. He might be traded but he doesn't have much value right now, due to the poor assist numbers.
^^^^ Yeah, but if we trade Carter for a good big man, we become CONTENDERS, so Kidd wouldn't want to leave. He could get his championship. I think, if we DO break up the Big 3, Carter will be the one leaving. He's the most injury prone and not needed member of the Big 3: Kidd brings leadership, passing, and just a superb all-around game. Jefferson brings great rebounding, good defense, an ever improving shot, and he can make up for the loss of athletisicm if we trade Carter. Carter brings just scoring, he isn't very good at much else. I would love a Carter and a pick or two for Tyson Chandler and fillers trade, it would make us instant contenders, make our frontcourt a force for at least the next 5 years, and would toughen up the interior defense we're lacking. Just imagine: PG-Jason Kidd: Would improve Chandler's game to his full potential. SG-Zoran Planinic/A filler (Nocioni?): Planinic has shown great improvement, Nocioni, if he would be traded, would bring with him great perimeter defense. SF-Richard Jefferson: Wouldn't have to rebound too much anymore with Chandler inside, would become the team's first scoring option again and will be able to average 25 ppg(you know he can). PF-Tyson Chandler: Interior defense, great rebounding. Could become a top 10 big man in the league with Kidd's help and reach his full potential. C-Nenad Krstic: Could become Chandler's sidekick, and focus more on his stronger side, offense. New Jersey become Eastern Conference contenders, and will be able to reach the Finals and maybe, somehow, accomplish Kidd's dream of winning a championship. If they don't win and Kidd demands to leave, they still have a great, young roster for the future and won't have to rebuild from scratch. Chicago, meanwhile, would get a great player in Carter who will be able to carry the team's scoring load. Plus, if he doesn't work out, his contract has only 2 years left on it. By that time, he'll be 30+ and Ben Gordon could take his job as starting SG. PG-Kirk Hinrich SG-Vince Carter SF-Luol Deng/Andres Nocioni(if he doesn't get traded) PF-Mike Sweetney C-Darius Songalia 6th Man: Ben Gordon A great, young team with amazing potential for the near future.
I would not trade Carter or Jefferson unless its for a bigman that makes me say wow..and has the potentail to be the peice to take us to the next level..I dont see Chandler as that type of big...but I do agree that he is kind of the type of bigman we need to play alongside the big 3 & Krstic. Right now the fact that we dont get much scoring from guys like Collins, Jackson etc doesnt dissappoint me...its the fact of how unathletic or frontcourt is on both ends of the floor. I think that our lack of athletism in the frontcourt hurts our running game because we dont have a bigman trailing on the break because Collins and Krstic cant really run the floor. It hurts us on the boards and defensively it hurts us because we have no deteriants around the basket, nobody who can block shots from the weak side...nobody quick enough to be a help defender in pick & rolls and style be able to recover to their own man...So I have two deals to add some athletism...and moblity to our frontcourt. First deal: New Jersey Trades: Marc Jackson & a 2nd round pick to Orlando for Tony Battie... Why would the Nets do this deal....well its obvious, Battie has the moblity on both ends that the Nets need right now....and he can run the floor Why Orlando does this deal....well a few reasons, a young team like Orlando would love the pick. Young teams usally like to stock up on picks...also because a return of Tony Battie is unlikely for next year, he is probably going to command more on the open market then Orlando is willing to pay..since they are a young team going in a different direction and already have Dwight Howard. They arent going to be in the market to over pay bigmen...and nowadays every bigman is getting over payed. So they can get Marc Jackson a solid big at a solid price with a year left on his deal...they wont have to worry about bigs.. Deal #2: New Jersey Trades Scott Padgett & Zoran Planinic to Bobcats for Melvin Ely Charolatte has nice parts at the point guard with Felton and Knight, good bigs for the future with Okafor and May, a solid center in Brezec but they dont really have much to look forward to on the wing besides Wallace and he is more of an energy player then a skilled guy. Zoran Planinic has showed flashes of being able to do alot of different things at times like make the perimeter J, and be able to breakdown Defenses off the dribble. On a team like Charolatte with more room for young players to develope, he could actually turn into something pretty solid on this level. Scott Padgett is a big to replace the size lost with Ely. Also he brings a demension they dont really have right now..a bigman that can step out to the perimeter. Anyway, Ely gives theNets that defensive deteriant around the basket that they need Nets New Lineup: Jason Kidd/Vaughn Vince Carter/McInnis Richard Jefferson/Cliff Robinson Jason Collins/ Melvin Ely Nenad Krstic/Tony Battie The rotation gets more athletic...and the defense greatly improves...This type of unit can turn quality defense into easy basket opportunites, something we have done in past years but are struggling with now. Oh and I know Cliff isnt really moible enough to play the 3 consistently anymore...but he matches up well with guys like Walker, Jamison and some of the bigger 3/smaller 4 men out there and that is what we would likely use him as in this type of system, a situational defender.
