Source Well, since I've got no subscription to the Philly site, there's no quote for this. Still, you guys can check it out. Most of you already commented in the Raptors one anyway so I guess this is kind of old news.
I'd be happy with a second round pick for Williams. He's not doing anything useful here, but if he's motivated in Philly, he can be a decent role player.
I wouldn't mind him at all. Outside from his scoring he can be a very stellar defender and most importantly rebounder when he wants too. Injuries are a problem but if he feels motivated playing in Philly magically those nagging injuries could go away.
Why not? The 76ers right now, are literally missing a backup power forward and Williams is solid. As long as the Raptors don't ask for John Salmons or something like that I'd go ahead and make a trade for Williams.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Psycho Drama:</div><div class="quote_post">Eric Williams is a small forward B.</div> He's right. Eric Williams is not more of a power forward than Lee Nailon is. He has the size and can play that spot, but he's a natural three. Williams can give you solid three-point shooting, defense, and some veteran leadership. The 76ers being interested are definitely probably predictable because of their defensive problems. Getting Williams will definitely help solidify that aspect of the game.

But yeah your'e pretty much right. I say we go after him. And I also heard somewhere about Darvin Ham also, can anyone confirm this?
Yes Billy King inquired about Darvin Ham, but nothing else has happened because other teams are interested in him as well.
Duh, I'm thinking of that dude who used to play for the Nets Aaron Williams...I'd rather have him then Eric Williams.

I guess you have a point, but I'm not that high on any Williams'. If the 76ers are looking for a bigman, I think a very good option would be Malik Rose.

On some nights, he has been the Raptors' best center, but that isn't saying much considering the competition. He's foul-prone, although he does play some tough interior defense. However, I can see him at power forward clogging up the lanes. He has no range and can't space out the floor, which would mean that the lanes would be filled with two seven-footers (Hunter or Dalembert) who are virtually useless once they drift out of the key. Won't be good for a team which depends so much on their guards' penetration. The reason the Sixers work so well right now is the fact that Webber can hit the outside shot, thus opening up the floor for Iverson.

I think Williams would be a nice fit for the Sixers in that he gives them an edge defensively..he's a smart, heady player who rebounds and plays aggressive defense...at this point, they need anyone who can defend the ball...
