In the first of what is likely to be a series of such stories, the San Antonio Express-News has named Wright the fifth worst draft choice of 2005...at least so far. The worst choice was Orlando's selection of Spaniard Fran Vasquez, but then he didn't even show up. Chris Paul is accorded the top spot</div>

Well what can you expect from a rookie that isn't given a chance.

Ouch. Ranked lower than a guy who didn't even come to the NBA (Fran Vasquez).

You're reading it wrong. Fran is 30, Wright is 26. It was a bad choice for the Nets to draft him in front of better players like Danny Granger. Even if he eventually becomes a good player, during the preseason he seemed clueless on the floor. He had trouble running the plays, and he couldn't really catch up with the other nine players on the floor.

Sadly I expected this, he might still be a good player, but he was the rookie I had the least hope about.

I am not really dissapppointed in fact that Antoine Wright isnt what we expected when we drafted him so high, Iam really just disappointed in our swing positions in general. Going into the season, I was expecting the SG/SF depth to be there with guys like Murray, Planinic, Wright and Linton Johnson all trying to fight for minutes. But now it looks like we have no depth on the wing as Wright, Murray, and Johnson have not lived up to expectations. Right now, our perimeter depth consist of point guards...Vaughn, McInnis and Planinic was expected to be a pg.
