This should be a good game, Dirk vs ONeal..should be Artest vs Howard but Howard is still injured [IMG]

    Dallas needs this win

    Mavs 102 Pacers 94 Grades: Dirk?s Spurs-Lite Win Ugly

The Mavs on the second game of a back to back figured to be the tired team tonight, but it was the Pacers that acted the part tonight. The Pacers did make a late run at the Mavs, but the visiting team responded to keep Indiana at bay. The Pacers had plenty of opportunities tonight, but were unable to capitalize on the Mavs turnovers as they shot only 34.3% from the field.

FSSW : C; FSSW was struggling tonight, nearly as much as the Pacemates choreographer. It?s a new century and they resemble Sonju?s Mavs dancers. +18

Johnson: A, Late in the game, Avery calls a key timeout after the Pacers score two baskets in a row (a rarity in a game like this). The Mavs come out of the timeout and take care of business.

Griffin: A; Not as spectacular as last night in Chicago, yet still a very solid game for Adrian. The Pacers have to be kicking themselves. +12

Nowitzki: A, Dirk has found his groove again. A double-double with 31 points, 11 rebounds, 3 blocked shots, all in only 36 minutes. +34

Dampier: B, Erick delivered yet another solid effort with 6 points and 8 rebounds. +7

Daniels: C+, It figures. After bragging on Marquis, he goes back to his blonde moments. Luckily for Daniels, the Pacers were having more of them. +3

Harris: A; With Jason hobbled, Devin got his start of this season. Perhaps a bit uneven, but still provided 15 points and 5 assists tonight. +17

Armstrong : B, Darrell gets some serious playing time tonight with Jason cheering from the bench. Armstrong?s trey was nice to see tonight. Darrell ought to be the poster child for a new stat category in the NBA : charges drawn. +5

Diop: B-, DeSagana fought foul trouble all night and eventually fouled out. Still most were with the correct intention: No easy baskets (of course it didn?t hurt that the Pacers struggled mightly from the charity stripe). +5

Van Horn: B-, Keith pitched in 11 points but was 0-3 from behind the arc. +9

    Terry: DNP-CD, resting his hamstring.

    Marshall : DNP-CD.

    Powell: DNP-CD.

    M?Benga: DNP-CD.

Howard: DNC-CD, Josh is out with an ankle sprain.

Podkolzin: DNC-CD, Pavel had surgery to repair his right foot and ankle and is expected to miss three to four months.

Stackhouse: DNP-CD, Jerry was inactive, out with a sore knee that continues to swell.

It was. Great win tonight by the Mavs. It was ugly, but the Mavs showed their toughness and grit to get the win. Seems like someone has lit a fire under Dirk. Three solid games since the SA game.

Yeah, that was a good win on the road and on back to back considering they were without Terry and Howard.
