Rosen's recent take on the Rockets (after the win against the Celtics) effuses praise for McGrady, but little for the rest. I think he's a bit harsh on some of his criticisms (particularly with Yao), but overall his observations are accurate. http://msn.foxsports.com/nba/story/5146464...40813162&ATT=73 <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> Before Tuesday night's home game against Boston, their 4-12 record ranked them last in the Western Conference. Worse, only Atlanta and Toronto had poorer home-court records than Houston's 2-6. Okay, T-Mac has struggled with injuries, but are the Rockets strictly a one-man band? The game against the decidedly mediocre Celtics (who are now only 1-5 on the road) was indeed a critical one for Houston. Especially since it was the last contest at the Toyota Center before the Rockets embark on a killer six-game road trip. ...</div>
never listen to him..... i'm writing this comment with out reading the article cause i know how its going to be like
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting tr@cy&ya0:</div><div class="quote_post">never listen to him..... i'm writing this comment with out reading the article cause i know how its going to be like</div> It's mainly an in-depth look at how Tracy and Yao played against Boston, with some comments about the rest as well. His take, in short, was that Tracy was brilliant whereas Yao was merely "adequate". His closing remarks are, perhaps uncharacteristically, upbeat: <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> The win was satisfying, promising, and proof that Houston ain't dead yet. It will be interesting to see how the Rockets fare against teams that offer more resistance than the Celtics did. If they can win four games on their upcoming West Coast swing, then Houston just might resurrect their entire season.</div>
It seems that only the elite players in the NBA can be fancied by Rosen. Yao had a pretty average game last night, committing some mistakes that happen at least once or twice every game. He was able to score 12 points on just 9 shots and got 9 rebounds despite taking a nasty elbow and playing just 32 minutes. Just leave it to Rosen to scrutinize every mistake and magnify them just to help his argument.
... biased never knew that msn is so cheap to hire writers like that.. to him, just cause yao is different from most american players means he's not at nba level. yao plays a total different game; his style is finess, not explosive. he's complaining because yao's plays aren't as exciting to watch as shaq's plays. so what if yao tips in his own miss or do some little spin moves or draw fouls? it's basketball and those r points that count. also, he never considered the size of yao. yao's huggge and the writer is probably comparing him to AI, he expects yao to move like AI. of course yao looks incredibly slow then. seriously, his points r all biased, he just threw in some positives - he's a nice guy, nice attitude, gentalman style...or something...whatever, not waste my time anymore. back to studies!.. sigh..msn...
His criticisms of yao were actually pretty right on, if you can't see that then you guys are the one's who are biased. Yao does pass to much when he doesn't have to, why does he continue to defer to lesser players? Shaq is also slow but he uses his size advantage to overcome that, yao doesn't need to take fadeaways over 6 footers. He needs to just back people down, and throw up a hook.
You obviously don't watch the games and obviously don't know what your saying. ANYTIME Yao tries to back someone down who is smaller than himself he gets a foul called on him. EVERY time. The refs don't know how to call him fairly, FREE YAO!
I dont know what yall have been watching but the Rockets ARE a 1 MAN BAND. I watch the games and have been saying the same thing this article does, as I'm sure everybody has. They have more than adequately proven that without TMac they are a last place team, and thats where they are at. There is no Chem. or purpose on Offense. Criticisms are harsh espcially when the bad ones are true.

Yao probably shoud use some force to school whoever picks on him deliberately. Dont be a good temper man in the NBA
