Kobe: "He Should be in the Dunk Contest."

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Kobe Bryant on Wednesday night recommended rookie Von Wafer for the NBA's annual dunk contest, saying Wafer has that level of hops. Wafer made a resounding tip dunk of a missed free throw late in the Lakers' victory in Toronto.

Just before that, however, Wafer had jacked up a three-point shot with 14 seconds left on the shot clock and the Lakers' lead having been cut to nine points with 1:00 left in the game.

To show the stark contrast in personalities of Bryant and teammate Lamar Odom, consider their reactions to Wafer's ill-advised attempt: Odom crouched down in laughter. Bryant stood up and yelled direction to Wafer: "Hold the (expletive) ball!"</div>

That would be interesting. It's been a long time since a Laker went to the slam dunk contest. Kobe was the last i believe.

Lamar is a loser. He's not worthy to be compared to Pippen. He's just not a competitor, he is just along for the ride. bench him. Whats funny about the game slipping away in the last minutes. but i wonder if he was laughing at kobe?

I would like to see Wafer in the Slam Dunk Contest. I dont think Wafer would get invited to the SDC though.

Lamar a loser???????? I don't think so, everyone should just stop being a hater. He's on your team, deal w/ it. He's the second best player on the team, deal w/ it. The past few games he was so close of getting a triple-double. That's a competitor in my book. Look at his assists and rebounds, and you tell me he isn't a competitor? COME ON GUYS.
