I was offered sweetney for kirilenko and here's a message i got from a league member...i find it hilarious M.Sweetney will give you some support down the stretch, he's proly gona be a 20/10/5/3/3 guy. AK is an injury prone i'll take him, since my team is pretty hot and very deep, i can take that hit. Sweetney will give you some consistant plays. And for now, Ak can at least help me in blocks. so, lets make this trade happen and make this league more balanced. What did i do you might ask? Well, i counter offered him Nick Collison for Dirk...and i wrote to him "Collison will give you some support down the stretch, he's is probably going to b a 20(foul)/10(pts)/5(rbs)/3TO/3block guy. Dirk is european, and europeans are soft, and since my team is flaming hot, i can take that hit.
I would've said the same thing, come to think of it, i've offered some guy in my league 10 different combo trades, all of them were me aimimg to get AK-47. the guy never bit. To me he is injury proned and im willing to take the same chance because i know what he brings when he's healthy. Currently i sit at 4th place in a 12 team league and i won last weeks matchup 8-1. The guy who has AK-47 is sitting in 10th place. He needs to give AK if you ask me.
Wow, AK is a popular guy for trades. I tried getting him earlier this year. I offered Shaq/TMac for AK/Arenas. The guy countered back some pretty lame trades. So, as it stands, I still have Shaq, and I still have TMac, and now that I think about it, I stopped caring about that team because of how horrible they are.
