We'll get an idea about the "what if..." today. No Murphy, Foyle, and Pietrus. Sounds like guys that could all be packaged together in a trade to me.. Hmmm. So What if? If these guys were all moved, and we got a major piece in their place. Could we make it work for only 1 player back? Albeit the Pistons will probably make us look really bad cause we have litteraly no rebounders left.

The KG rumors are tired, but is there another 1 or 2 guys out there that would make this team improve over the 3 guys that are out?

A Rasheed Wallace type player who can defend the post well and stretch the D like Murhpy can would be nice. Not many of those are available though... If the Warriors don't have Foyle, Murphy, and Pietrus tonight.. it's gonna be a long night... [IMG]

Funny you said that. I always thought Sheed or Camby would be perfect

That package may be able to net Pau Gasol. His on-ball defense isnt very good but hes a nice shot blocker, post scorer, passer, and mid range scorer. Sheed would be like Murphy with better defense and athleticism but not as good rebounding. That package could also get us Zach Randolph or Carlos Boozer plus some extra players but I dont like either plalyer or their contracts.

Offensively, what the Warriors would ideally be looking for is a PF who can bang in the post but occassionally step out. Murphy is adequate and still improving in both aspects. He has always been a great shooter and now can step out and hit the 3, adding another deadly dimension to his game.

However, I think defensively, the Warriors need a strong post defender who can take on the Pau's and Yao's of the league. Foyle is a great weak-side help defender, but I'm not too sure about his 1on1 post defense. No one on the Warriors roster is really a great 1on1 defender... so I think, if the Warriors would even consider packaging a core-killing deal like Murphy, Pietrus, and Foyle, they better get a lockdown PF who can D up in the post.

I like Rasheed but he's like 31 years old now... Camby would be nice but he's a walking accident. How bout Eddie Griffin? He's inconsistent but I wonder what it cost to land him...

    Interesting idea.

I don't know what to say...I'm not good at playing GM.

If we were to acquire someone, I'd like it to be someone fairly young (under 30)...how about draft picks?

Pau would definately be a nice addition. As his beard grows so does his aggressiveness, and doesn't intend to cut it.
