A basketball game lasts 48 minutes anyone who saw the Bobcats game just saw the storyline for the 76ers season play out right in front of them. The 76ers inability to hold on to a lead has become a uncanny characteristic of this team. They need to improve this tonight if they hope to have any chance to win.
Defense lapses on the defensive end of the court have cost the 76ers more than a few games this season. The Nets have three explosive players that can take advantage of a team if they are not being guarded well. The 76ers need to keep up the defensive pressure all game.
Get everyone involved Chris Webber and Allen Iverson are the highest scoring duo in the league right now, but the 76ers are still under .500 obviously something is wrong. Last night the 76ers managed to get everyone involved in the offensive scheme John Salmons, Kyle Korver, and Dre in particular. They have to do the same tonight they added more depth to their bench by signing Barnes now lets see if they know how to use that depth.

The 76ers need to win this game to get back on track. This season has been a season of streaks first a three game losing streak, then a winning streak, then a four game losing streak, and yesterday a win. Now lets see where we go from here the Nets are on top right now the 76ers are trying to get there. I will take the 76ers in a close game.

Both of these teams are playing in their 2nd game in as many days. Both teams will be exhausted, but I still expect the Sixers to win this one. It is immportant. Both are coming off of wins too. Should be a good divisional game.

    Sixers- 97
    Nets-92

Edit: 17-15 we're down but, DAYUM! KORVER IS LIGHTING IT UP AGAIN!

Don't you just love it when Korver's on fire? [IMG]

Well, we let them get back into this game (sort of) but overall nice effort by the Sixers. Korver was red hot tonight scoring on ten for eleven shooting and five for six shooting. Does it get any better than that? Actually yes, since Iverson had another forty plus scoring night along with a double double. Great games for those two. However, as for the rest of the guys there really wasn't too much of an offensive side of things (not like there needed to be). I'd still like for the team to play a bit more, well, team oriented style since we can't exactly expected Iverson or Korver to go off everynight. The bright side of things is that at least Dalembert seems to have a bit of a rhythm going and getting back on track. Hope this means we'll get on another win streak [IMG].

Allen Iverson and Kyle Korver was amazing tonight. This was a HUGE win for our squad tonight.

WHO SAY IVERSON BREAK VAQUES ANKLES?! That was the best ankle breaker I've seen by Iverson this year.

AI had the New Jersey fans buzzing all night long! That was a sick play when Vaughn fell down, but AI did step on his foot [IMG]

Yeah, great win tonight and it was a team effort.

Iverson was Iverson... on fire through the first three but slowed down a little bit in the fourth, yet he still ended the game with 42 points (15-28), 12 assists, 5 rebounds and 4 steals. Every time the Nets cut into the lead, Iverson or Korver responded with big timely buckets to slow down the run and silence the crowd. AI had the crowd buzzing all night long... and got a nice ovation from the Nets crowd when he left the game, or so it seemed.

Iggy had a decent game, but he only attempted two shots. We need to get him more involved in the offense, and I'd like to see us post him up on the block a little more.

Webber was solid, and almost had a triple-double: 13 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. I don't care about the points being down as long as he's dishing the ball like he did tonight.

Korver... finally. He should have been perfect from the field but missed that heat-check shot in the first quarter. Hopefully he can keep shooting like this for a while.

Dalembert was decent, but he still seems to pick up careless fouls a lot.

Bench wasn't much of a factor offensively as they only scored 11 points (six for Bradley and five for Ollie), but we were able to extend our lead to double digits with the bench on the floor with AI.

Big win, and hopefully we can carry this momentum into our three home games next week. I'm looking for atleast a 2-1 week, and the first two games are important (Minnesota and Atlanta), because we play Miami on Friday and Shaq should be back by then.

Ahh, a solid win. It tastes so good.

But really, a good win this was over the division leaders. It was good to see Korver come alive throughout the game, maybe this is a sign of new life for Kyle. Sammy`s get better, but I would like it if he were more aware on the defensive side when slashers like Carter or Jefferson come running his way. If he wants an All-Star like defensive player, he`s going to work on that, but like I said, he is getting better.

We are 7-0 when out-rebounding our opponets. Nuff said.

Like said, AI was AI and Korver continued to be extremely HOT.

As for that crossover, well that's what Jacque Vaugh gets when he thinks he could not contain, but just stay in front of Iverson. Hands down that was the play of the year so far. I'd but that as #1 with the VC dunk on Zo coming in 2nd.

Next up, the T'Wolves. They won five straight, but I like our chances in this game. They don't really have any perimeter threat out there other than Wally who's play might cancel out with what Korver might do. Perimeter players have been a problem for us this season, so having no real perimeter threat ou there will benifit us well. So the only concern really is Garnett. We have a big body in Webber, a long Dalembert and more big bodies with Bradley and Hunter. So for the most part I think we will dominate this game but as usual will eventually collapse. There is no way Marko will stay with AI, he could go for 50 if he wants in this game. I also expect a big game from Iguodala and Korver.
