that you guys don't let this whipping of the broncos go to your heads.

You guys played a pathetically overrated team at home in an opening day game.

I've got to admit - I said the Broncos were talented - I think I may have spoke too soon - they've got the closest thing to a Rob Johnson QBing their team, and a very overrated D with a solid oline for running.

Denver is washed up, and they really need to get rid of Shanahan - he's an outdated coach - just like Jim Mora and Marty Schottenheimer - they may make the playoffs every now and then, maybe even make a little noise in the playoffs, but they'll never get past the AFC Championship - if they're lucky enough to get their.

I'm not trying to talk smack, I'm just trying to keep your feet on the ground.

I'll save all the smack for our teams' meetings that I fully expect you guys to not want to remember.

Mora and Schottenheimer, sure... But Shannahan has been to, and won, two Superbowls. He's got a pretty long leash.

Rather have shanahan who has proven he can win super bowl when he has the talent, and has fielded a winning team every year for who knows how long, than any coach teh bills have had for the past 40 years who havent won anything.

    Shanahan - 2 super bowls.
Dolphins orginization - 2 super bowls.
Bills organization - 0 super bowls.

So if anyone is letting anything go to their heads it is a fan of a team that hasnt won anything ever, and best known thing about thier franchise is OJ "I am looking for the real killer" Simpson.

You should try keeping your feet on the ground first partner before you go preaching to other people. With these high hopes you seem to have for your bills..how does it feel when your team crushes you by blowing it every year? I'm having a hard time remembering...but I'm sure you were claiming the bills would be a contender after they beat Pittsburg's B team to get in the playoffs last season only to be crushed again...so the feelings must be fresh..

Yeah, I know, our team has had a history of choking, but I'll still stick by them no matter what. And we just got rid of our biggest choker this offseason. I wish him the best with Dallas, but for whatever reason, he just wasn't suited for us, and he did cost us that game against the Steelers B list actors. The last score in that game was a TD where a Steelers second string linebacker stripped the ball from Bledsoe and took it to the house - the score wound up being 29-24 - do the math.

I know you weren't here and now that I reread my post it was confusing..I meant I'm having a hard time remebering that feeling when your team crushes you...and I was saying I'm sure, even though I don't know, you were preaching your bills before they choked against the steelers...eitherway one play doesn't make a game..your defense still let steelers back ups pound the rock on you all day long in their biggest game of the year..even with Maddox at QB who is just as much of a statue as bledsoe...your defense did not step up and I don't care what math your talking about...they had just as much to do with that loss as bledsoe did...

I did enjoy the beating that my Phins gave the Broncos on Sunday. After the pain of last year, the win felt pretty good, but my feet are firmly planted on the ground. I hope the Dolphins play tough football every week, but that's yet to be seen. The Dolphins have to play the Jets next week and that's all the Dolphins need to have on their mind. Can they go on the road and play tough and consistant? I hope so. Right now, I would like to see seven or eight wins with the Dolphins giving consistant effort and improving as the season goes on. However, they better realize that 11 penalties and 3 turnovers usually lead to losses and improve those numbers quickly. I'm not very happy about the penalties and turnovers right now.

Of all the fans on this board, the Dolphins fans seem to be the most grounded. This is probably the result of the many years under Dave Wanny, but their expectations are always more than reasonable.

Teams that have had a history of being overhyped on this board are the Eagles, Falcons, and now the Bills.

so far we're backing it up.

If we win against Tampa Bay, I'm sure we'll start getting more love on these boards - or at least will have earned some - whether or not we'll get some hats tipped to us on here remains to be seen.

I dont think any of the DWO has booked a Detroit hotel room as has been accused....I enjoyed watching the game, they played well and they were aggressive and confidant....watching them play with passion was enjoyable, but its one game....who knows if the Broncos are even good....I think someone should take his own advice though about keeping your feet on the ground....when the Bills beat a team that had a winning record last season, then you might get excited....

You will get some love when your team does well for the whole season, and postseason. Defeating Houston was an absolute must. You should also beat the Bucs. I don't think they are that good at all...the Vikings just played like a highschool team.

Show consistency, get to the playoffs, and actually do something once you are there and you will get some love. Until then, your Bills are being overhyped. [IMG]

Tko, you had better hope your team can do more than score field goals then if you expect the playoffs. The Bills won't beat the good teams with just field goals, so your offense will have to step up and turn those red zone trips into TD's. Otherwise the Bills won't be making the playoffs.
