    Predictions
Bucks come off a home win Saturday vs Cleveland, Knicks have struggled all year, this is a bad team the Bucks play Monday. But its always tough going to MSG and winning, but I really think the Bucks should win this game

    Knicks 103

The Knicks have been improved lately, especially on the defensive end. I saw a bit of their game at Phoenix the other day, and was mildly impressed. I think this will be a tougher game than we're expecting, and we've got to play D on their post players. I see the Bucks winning this one, but it won't be pretty, and it won't be easy.

    Knicks 95

I've figured out the Bucks, they own Eastern Conf. teams, but are only average against the West. The Knicks are playing better, but the formula to beat them is simple. Just stop Eddy Curry, and everything else collapses on offense for them. When you have Magloire, Bogut, and Gadz in the frontline, I like the Bucks a lot in this match up. I expect them to blow the Knicks out at MSG.

I can't wait to see the two rookie big men go at it. I don't think Frye can handle Bogut in this game.

I don't know about that. Sure, the Knicks go to him early to try and establish a post presence in the beginning of the game, but when Curry is struggling the Knicks have found ways to get by. They can use the pick and roll which has been very effective for them and they can use a penetration attack and get some of their bigs in foul trouble. If Jamal heats up it coule be dangerous from the outside, too. With the Knicks getting a rare home game playing 13 of their first 19 on the road, I think they could pull of a win.

I disagree, the reason the Knicks have been in most games has been Curry. He still commands a double team and it leads to a lot of easy baskets for the Knicks. When the Knicks stop feeding the post, their offense gets sloppy and they have to rely on making perimeter shots. On a few occassions their perimeter shots have fallen, but teams who rely on winning from the outside don't have much success in the league.

It leads to some easy baskets, but Curry isn?t a good passer out of the post. He?s never averaged a single assist in his fifth year in the league. This year he?s only averaging 0.3 assists per game. Another reason why the Knicks? offense has looked sloppy is because of Curry. In about 23 minutes of play, he averages almost 3 turnovers and 3 personal fouls (most of them being offensive). He can draw fouls, but when he gets to the line, he shoots 59%. All in all, Curry isn?t a really reliable offensive player. Although this is due to his calf injury and just being acquired two months ago, I don?t think he?s the reason why we?re in games; I don?t usually see him down the stretch in games. Curry hasn?t performed well, or, in some cases, hasn?t even played, but the Knicks have taken just about every game this season to the last minute. The Knicks are much more reliant upon Marbury on offense than they are Curry. On the perimeter the Bucks have Michael Redd ? a terrible defender ? guarding Stephon Marbury. Marbury and Frye often times run the pick and roll, a play I hear Bogut has a hard time defending and Redd obviously plays no defense. Also, with Frye?s jumper Marbury can penetrate easily. This will force everyone on their frontcourt to either guard Frye 18 feet away from the basket, or pay with an open two.

We?ll see what happens though [IMG]

We might actually use TJ on Marbury tonight. We've done that a couple times this year-in the Cleveland game we used him on Hughes for stretches (and he did a fantastic job) and we've used him other times when an opposing 2 guard isn't overwhemingly big for him.

As to Bogut on the pick and roll, he's actually made big strides in all facets of his defense, and I'd say he's just as athletic as Frye, so he shouldn't have all that much trouble with him.

While I'm not going to sit here with homer glasses and say that Redd is a good defender, he's shown some solid improvement this year, IMO. He's still nowhere near where I'd like him to be, but he's made a better effort on D. This team as a whole needs to get better on defense, though [IMG]

I'm pleased to hear about the improvements on their games. I like many players on the Bucks, so please don't think I was trying to bash the team. Just a little criticism is all.[IMG]

For sure [IMG] you're right that we could struggle defensively, we have most of the season. I think this will be a good game, you guys have been improved lately and especially on defense.

Bucks lead at the half, 61-49

Redd has 13 and Danny G has 12 and 4 boards, while TJ has 9 and 8 assists so far. We're up 12 but they're still shooting 57% from the floor [IMG] Frye, if for no other reason than me saying that we'd contain him, is 8/10 from the floor with 18 already [IMG] Like usual, we have to play significantly better D in the second half.

    GMan's Thoughts
Bucks finally have a game where they come out and take control, and keep control. Channing Frye was impressive, shot real well...career night. Danny G was huge for the Bucks. 18 pts in 18 minutes. Redd shot real well in scoring 31 pts with 5 assists, 5-5 3s. Mo had 15, Jamaal had 11. Mo started in the place of Bobby Simmons who missed the game with a shoulder injury. Marbury was terrible, Nate Robinson scored well, but turned it over 7 times. Bucks finally didn't play to the level of a bad team.
