<div class="quote_poster">Quoting shapecity:</div><div class="quote_post">Lakers are a winning team, and I didn't see the quote where Ron Artest said he didn't want to come to LA. If he was adament about playing for a winning team, why would he want to play for the Knicks? </div> i did however hear the quote from Phil Jackson when he chuckled and said there was NO CHANCE WHATSOEVER of artest going to L.A
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting PlaTsanity:</div><div class="quote_post">artest is a good player--yes but i would not give up odom for him just because odom is an all-around player</div> LMAO I`d give up the entire fakers squad(except kobe) plus odom for artest how many more losses before Lamar starts smoking blunts and kobe goes into selfishness overdrive(if humanly possible to be any more selfish)
Well in all fairness to Magic, he was misquoted by the radio station. He didn't say Artest doesn't deserve a second chance. He said Artest has to realize this is his last shot to stay in the league after he's traded. If he makes another mistake, then no GM will resign him when his current contract expires. I do agree, Magic shouldn't make comments about the team and be part of a national TV program. He's the only owner doing it, and I don't see anything positive coming from it. Hopefully these two can be adults about it and write it off as a miscommunication. I still think Artest would work in Los Angeles with Kobe and bring that intimidation factor the team is missing.
http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2263787 Looks like Artest won't be traded any time soon...
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Looks like Artest won't be traded any time soon...</div> I can't beleive that...like I'd rather have him stay with the Pacers then be traded to a team OTHER THAN the Lakers...but still- I feel bad for the Pacers. They have supported to him endlessly and he just isn't even mindful of that at all. I think they might (and should) still trade him, I mean you can't trust that guy after all the times he has screwed the organization, and there's no point paying him to not play on the inactive list so...
Yeah I agree, how can the organization, the team, or even the fans support this guy. He screwed their season last year, promised a "new" Ron this year, stabbed the team in the back asking for a trade, now he wants to stay. Uh uh even though he wants to stay, I think his ass will be traded away. Too bad the Lakers couldn't get him. He'd make good trade bait if they had him and signed Chris Bosh after this season....
Just because Ron said he wants to remain a Pacer that doesn't mean he will stay with the team. Pacers owner is fed up with him.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Pablo23:</div><div class="quote_post">Just because Ron said he wants to remain a Pacer that doesn't mean he will stay with the team. Pacers owner is fed up with him.</div> Yes sir that's correct. So the thought the Lakers can't get him isn't totally crossed out.
Sounds like Artest might be a Denver Nugget involving 3 teams. Atlanta receives - Earl Watson & Nene Indiana receives - Al Harrington Denver receives - Ron Artest
