The problem with Bird trading for picks is that his team is clearly built contend now. When Babcock pulled the VC trade, everyone knew the picks were the most important part, because the Raps were clearly a rebuilding team. If the Pacers lose a star like Artest, there going to go for a star in return, or risk wasting the team they've built up over the years.
This is not intended as a cheap shot on Raptors fans, but I would love to see him go to Toronto because you guys are rebuilding and he'd be stuck on a team that isn't doing much in the short term. I'd love to see him flip over getting traded to Toronto
