who do you think would win? currently bucks at 5th and cavs at 6th, i think this would be an interesting match up in the playoffs, i say the bucks win 4-2 or the bucks win in a 7 game series
cleveland will win in 6 games milwakee got a good team and solid bench however, their consistency and defence is a very big problem Cleveland, on the other hand, also suffers inconsistency on the defensive end...but comparably are better than bucks As position by positioni battle...lets see: C- Ilgauskas vs Magloire Ilgauskas is a better scorer, magloire is a better defender...but i believe ilgauskas is more experienced than magloire and more consistent (doesn't get into foul trouble as often as magloire) Close one, but Cleveland got the edge PF- Gooden vs Bogut two good rebounders...but bogut is better in offensive rebounding and is more of a blocker...can help more than gooden does in the post. Edge: Milwakee SF-Lebron vs Simmons Simmons is decent, but it's lebron we are talking about here Edge: Lebron SG-Hughes vs Redd Hughes will shut down Redd...Redd will still score 15-25 pts a game BUT his % will suffer a lot with hughes guarding him..besides, hughes is a good scorer too Edge: Cleveland PG: Snow vs Ford Snow just purely is a defensive force now (sort of), no more offence from him...TJ Ford...i like his speed, but he still needs to remain consistent and not to get into foul trouble early Edge: Ford Bench: Marshall+Damon Jones vs Maurice+Joe Smith/Bogut Maurice and damon are similar but marshall is a good defender, rebounder, and scorer while he shoot 3s Edge: Cleveland I love both teams, would like them to play each other frequently in the playoffs for the next few years, for now, the edge goes to lebron and company I
If these two teams met, it'd be about the only way the Bucks would advance looking at them right now, because if they went up against a team that was good defensively, they might just tank. I think the Bucks would take care of the Cavs rather easily. TJ helped shut down Hughes in the game on Saturday, and the three headed monster of Magloire, Bogut and Danny G is pretty effective against Z. LeBron would go nuts, because as we've said, the Bucks don't play defense. But, if we shut down Hughes like we did the other day, LeBron is stuck. I think we're certainly capable of stopping Hughes. You talk about Redd's FG% suffering against him, but Hughes is shooting 38.9% so far this year, and was 2/8 against us. Cleveland has a very solid bench, but to me it's made up of only two players: Damon Jones and Donyell Marshall. We're still waiting for Sasha Pavlovic and Luke Jackson to show up, and everyone else simply isn't that good. The Bucks, on the other hand, have a fantastic bench. Danny G is as good a 4/5 reserve as there is in the leauge, either Bogut or Joe Smith (both a starter on 20+ teams in the league) will be coming off the bench, Mo Williams is a candidate for 6th man of the year, Toni Kukoc just keeps making plays and Jiri Welsch, our 10th man, has been surprisingly (at least to me) effective in short bursts. We also have Charlie Bell, who in limitted playing time has been very good IMO. I think we would struggle against most teams in the playoffs if the postseason started today. The Cavs, however, are one of only a couple teams I think we'd dispatch with relative ease.
Report: Simmons, Bell Out 4-6 Weeks WTMJ Channel 4 in Milwaukee is reporting that Bucks F Bobby Simmons will miss 4-6 weeks with a shoulder injury...MRI results came back bad Also, Bucks G Charlie Bell will miss 4-6 weeks as well, with a severe knee injury suffered against the Knicks Monday. Two huge blows for the Bucks... They need a backup G-F
