MATCHUP BREAKDOWN

Zydrunas Ilgauskas v Zaza Pachulia ? Entering his third season in a third city, things were not looking too good for Zaza earlier this season. However, when he was given a chance by the Hawks, the big man from Europe showed what he could do, with 12-9 to rival Big Z?s 15-7. This matchup will be toughly contested, as the crown for the ?Best Z? is on the line.
Drew Gooden v Al Harrington ? The 6?9 forward Al Harrington has been averaging 17-8 which is looking good both for him and the Hawks. In fact, he averages 5 more points and just .7 rebounds less than Gooden. This will be another matchup fiercely contested and could go either way.
LeBron James v Josh Smith ? This is a battle of the high flyers and a matchup that most would like to see in the Houston Dunk Contest come February. As it stands, however, only one man could win this on the court matchup and that is LeBron James, the man who dropped 50 on Saturday.
Larry Hughes v Joe Johnson ? Two major offseason acquisitions for both sides will face up to each other. Neither have quite lived up to the hype that they carried with them, but if and when they click to their new systems, they have the potential to light up the floor. This matchup will be tight, and I couldn?t call the victor..
Eric Snow v Tyronn Lue ? So far this season, Lue has shown his potential ability to score (he dropped 16 on the Spurs) and Snow has shown that he is capable of stopping scorers. In a minimal matchup, I expect Lue to statistically come out on top, but for Snow to perform the way he normally does ? with intangibles.
