<div class="quote_poster">Quoting TheAnswer2:</div><div class="quote_post">KG ring a bell? KG to Knicks was one of the first KG trade threads I seen on here weeks ago.</div> No Knick fan said KG would end up in New York. If anyone, blame ESPN. This is a direct quote: <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">One source told ESPN.com that the New York Knicks had made Minnesota an offer that included the expiring contracts of Penny Hardaway ($15.7 million) and Antonio Davis ($13.9 million). But for such a trade to work under salary cap rules, the Knicks would also have to take back Sczcerbiak. One source close to several NBA players insisted that the viability of the Knicks' offer should not be dismissed, going so far as to say Garnett was making a private push through back channels to be dealt to New York and reunite with former teammate Stephon Marbury. "I'd bet money he'll be wearing a Knicks uniform by the end of February," the source said.</div> Just about every Knick fan said they don't believe it will happen. Here's the link: KG to Knicks?
Artest for Carter looks good, and it would improve both teams. But i dont think their contracts match so Pacers would have to throw in some more to make it work, maybe Jeff Foster.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Bobcats:</div><div class="quote_post">Ron Artest for Milt Palacio. It would be tough for Utah to give up a legend like Milt, but his MJ-like skills arn't being used properly by Utah.</div> LMAO who is the gay looking dude on your pic,is he in pornos or something?? the other guy looks like christopher from the sopranos

I don't know if the salaries match up, but Indy would get Artest "back" with a 20 point scorer and a young stopper.

First of all, the salaries are far from matching. Secondly, Webber is having a decent year, but his contract is absolutely huge and will put the Pacers in a tight spot for the next three years. Thirdly, why would the 76ers give up a young, promising defender in Iguodala. If you ask me, he has the potential to be just as good as Artest.

I already acknowledged I didn't know about the salaries..a decent year from Webber isn't going to win them a championship...and once again, the Sixers would give up a young, promising defender to win a championship while Iverson is in his prime.

If a decent year from Chris Webber isn't going to win them a championship, why would they trade for him, especially with that type of contract. Currently, Iguodala is putting up better numbers than Artest. Also, one of the reasons Artest wanted to get traded was because he wants a bigger role in the offense. He won't get that in Philadelphia. Also, Artest and Iverson won't put Philly over the top, in my opinion.

Artest is droppin 9 more a game than Iggy, so it would be harder to shoot the percentages Iggy is. The truth is that with Webber gone in the deal, they would need more scoring, plus Artest could play minor minutes down low and bang with his solid physique. It may not put Philly over the top, but make them better than they are now. One of the problems Philly has had is that they have no problem scoring (unlike the past) but are having problems shutting other teams down (unlike the past), more defense and a motivated offensive/defensive player will make them more competitive.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting MrJ:</div><div class="quote_post"> Currently, Iguodala is putting up better numbers than Artest. </div> i think not !!
Stop dreaming of Garnett. Garnett is not going anywhere and Barkley is an idiot. The wolves are only missing a player like Artest to become a top 5 NBA team. You wont even get a Griffin/Sczerbiak deal from the Wolves. Artest is dead weight to the Pacers, he needs to go. This makes him less valuable to the Pacers and there is no way they will not get screwed when he gets traded. You want a team guy that can shoot the ball and puts together a great effort every night, you can have Sczerbiak for Artest.
