Jerry Stackhouse update <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Dallas Morning News - Jerry Stackhouse knows there are pitfalls when picking target dates for coming back from injury, but he's ready to pencil in a return. Dec. 23 at Seattle is the date. And the logic for making his season debut then makes perfect sense. The Mavericks have two days off after that game, host Indiana on Dec. 26, then have three more days off. It's a good spot in the schedule to ease back into game action with plenty of built-in recovery time for his troublesome right knee. "I'm not really having any pain," Stackhouse said Tuesday after going through a full practice for the first time since early October. "I feel like the worst days are over. Now I'm trying to get back into a rhythm of playing basketball and in some sort of basketball shape. "I'm hoping to use these days to get some work, then maybe be ready to dance a little bit." </div>
<font color=""Blue"">Its so exciting that Stack will be returning, Theyre reeling off wins without him, once he comes back, it will be a lot easier to get some wins. I'm very excited for his return</font>
I'm not a big fan of Stackhouse's game. His shot selection is very questionable. He needs to not take Jordan like shots because that is what made his field goal percentage so low. I would rather have Harris, Terry, Daniels, and Howard in before Stackhouse. If Stackhouse could try to fit in instead of being a star than Dallas will be even deeper.

When we got him, everyone thought he'd mess with our chemistry (so did I), but he has shown that he didn't Sometimes he takes ill-advised shots, he pulls up for fade-away jumpers too often IMO. I remember watching a game last season when there was a switch and the guy marking Stack was marking Dirk, an obvious mismatch, but Stack just chucked up a terrible shot. Although, Stack isn't always a hog. He can get to the line consistently, and usually make them, a problem which seems to be bugging us this season. He can come in and create Instant Coffe...err, Offense at times of struggles when we need nothing more than a good basket or two. I think the positives outweigh the negatives with Jerry Stackhouse, as he provides another person who could score 20 and play 30 if needed, and with our luck this season with injuries, he could be extremely helpful at certain points.
Would you rather have Stackhouse in crunch time or Daniels? Though Stackhouse has proven to not be selfish his defense has been another story. He seems to abandon his man many times. I remember in the Phoenix series in game 6 that Stackhouse kept Jim Jackson open and got burned.
