<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">MEMPHIS, Tenn. ? The recent rash of road victories, while important to the Lakers now, could ultimately mean something in the grander scheme of playoff visions. The Lakers' top-heavy schedule ? 29 of their first 49 games are on the road ? eventually becomes breezy with 10 of their last 13 regular-season games in Staples Center. Road victories collected in December and January will be a factor in determining if the Lakers get to play past April. "In the process of looking at the schedule when it comes out in July, I was concerned for the first 2 1/2 months of the road, actually until the All-Star game basically," Coach Phil Jackson said. "Then at the end of the season, if we can be at a place where we can win at home, we're playing well, we don't have injuries, then things can happen for us. We know that." The Lakers, 4-1 on a road swing that concludes tonight in Memphis, haven't lost only one game in a long trip since going 4-1 on one in February 2002. "I think there's a sense of urgency for our team," Jackson said. "They looked at the record after a dismal homestand where we went 2-3. We were like, 'We've got to win some games on this road trip.' Yah they do... But I was really impressed on that Dallas game; WOW!!!!!! Kobe Bryant!!!!! What a shot!!!!! Thats why I think he's clutch; I've seen that done so many times before... I'm also impressed with the rest of that team, they did very well during the the later part of the game; way to go Lakers!!!!!!!!... Now if we can just oul it off again tonight...
Lakers are improving drastically and players are learning their roles in the team. I give the Lakers props for being 11-10 and winning in the road, awsome!!!! The chemistry is started to get there. Kobe passing the ball to Kwame 2 minutes to go in the game against Dallas shows growth in the Lakers.
Memphis Lakers got to win it today to get revenge for the their big lost to Memphis earlier this year. GO LAKERS
Lakers lead by 8 points at halftime. 45-37 Kwame is playing pretty good again tonight, but Chris Mihm is in foul trouble again. Some odd officiating tonight, the Lakers are not getting the call when they drive to the basket. The Lakers already have 9 turnovers and only 8 assists. Kobe leads the way with 14 points at the half.
Great win for Lakers, closed the road trip with authority. Most impressive road trips I've seen in a while. The bench did very well closing the game.
I read something earlier that said the Lakers haven't gone on a roadtrip in which they only lost one game in a few years. Its good to see the Lakers silencing their critics
lakers are kicking ass .... however they still need some consistency. Kobe's shooting pretty well too.. so thats good
