<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Bryant has been a member of the Lakers' social circle, dining with Lamar Odom and others late Monday night in Dallas. On Tuesday, Bryant literally fell to the floor in laughter upon seeing Smush Parker's imitation of Devean George's sloppy ball-handling. Bryant jokingly asked Andrew Bynum earlier this season if he was still "in Pampers" when Bryant was playing in his first NBA Finals. (For the record, Bynum is still a growing boy - measured Tuesday at 7-foot-1, one inch taller than he was when the Lakers measured him in June. Bynum said his doctor expects him to top out at 7-2.) As promised, Bryant started the season locked in. But as minor injuries cropped up, Bryant kept firing - and missing - before rallying recently. In Lakers victories, Bryant is shooting 45 percent. In losses, he's at 41 percent. In any case, he's No.2 in the NBA in scoring at 31.4 points per game, which would be a career high. Bryant's previous high was a 30-point average in 2002-03. None of that has been surprising. What might surprise many: Bryant and Jackson have sat at their table for two for this long without either one throwing a napkin down. There actually have been more instances of geniality than anything else. Moment in time No.1: Dec.1 in Utah. Before the game Jackson is exiting the locker room. Bryant is entering. They pass each other without a word. But as they do so, Bryant gives Jackson a little pat on the rear. Moment in time No.2: Monday in Dallas. Jackson calls Bryant over to offer some late-game advice. Bryant listens. As he speaks, Jackson gives Bryant a little pat on the rear. Little pats aren't as juicy as squabbles, so that has left the hottest question with regard to Bryant this season to be: What's up with the tights? Bryant has donned black tights this season that make him either the Baryshnikov of basketball or a little odd, depending on your fashion taste. Asked about it, Bryant said: "I look good." The real point is to keep warm, especially given Bryant's occasional knee and calf problems. Bryant has always worn sweatpants, not shorts, in practices for warmth. And if you like Bryant's look, Nike is prepared to capitalize - at $35 a pair, on sale now.</div> Source
Bynum should get more playing team...he has shown he could rebound, block and even finish closed to the paint. Jackson should play him 20 minutes a game and bench Mihm. Mihm is always in foul trouble does not contribute in offense and he is not a great rebounder. Those are signs of being a slow player. If Bynum plays 20 minutes a game he will begin to ready for next season and even become a starter.
I thought Bynum was going to be a bust. Boy was I wrong. He has shown glimpses of rebounding and shot blocking ability. If Kwame Brown continues to play poor, I say start to give Bynum minutes starting from 20 a game. Play him at the PF or even the C.
My top lakers C/F 1st. Bynum 2nd Brown 3rd Mihm 4th Cook. Bynum needs more paying minutes...I say bench Mihm. Cook is steping up.Brown showed some good signs last game...and well Mihm is a no-show every game.
man andrew bynum has a bright future. He could be the succesor to number 34 because it has also been reported he has 35 inch vertical leap not sure if its true. but imagine a future front line of him and brown. two atheletic freaks and make them both learn offense and you have two of the greatest pf- c combos if bynums turns out well. also take chris mihm out of that line up i don't see him doing much good besides a few jumpshots there and here plus the lakers obviously arn't contending for championship so might as well develop its talents when they are not rather than being froced to sit them when they are contenders again.
Yeah I can't wait to see Bynum playing more, Mihm has had excellent games sometimes, but his problem is still consistency..
Bynum Starting Bynum shouldn't start. He isn't used to playing 82 games in one year, and we can't afford many rookie mistakes at this point. I DO think he should get more playing time though to get more comfortable with Kobe and Odom, as he will probably be a future prospect for this ball club unless he gets traded for another all-star player along w/ Odom.
Bynum was a very bad pick, he will be a bust just like Kwame. Pity you guys didn't use common sense in the draft and pick someone like Garcia. Damn, LA Lamegirls.

I just keep tripping out that somebody born in 87 is in the NBA already. And yeah I seen some glimpes of his game. I was just wondering if he got a dunk yet in any games so far? I haven't seen any.

He's a student of the game and is just soaking everything in right now from the coaches. He's very realistic about his progress and is just waiting for his opportunity to get playing time. Right now I'd compare him to Brendan Haywood. He's a natural shotblocker and uses his length to alter shots. On offense, he's very raw still, and doesn't really have the strength to overpower other big men in the league. Let's not forget the kid just turned 18. Just wait until he starts filling out his frame with muscle and continues to improve his skills.
Bynum should start a couple of games and the coaches could see what he could do and if he is better then Chris Mihm then they should let Andrew Bynum start.
