Nothing much to say but just, Monty f**n blew it. Just foul the damn guy and they won't make that 3.

BTW, nice shot Luther Head! Props on the win for Houston...

Why is it Monty's fault again?

It wasn't his fault the guards want to deviate from the offense they don't feel comfortable in just yet, it's not his fault the Warriors miss easy free throws. Murphy shot 6 of 11 or something plus turned the ball over which led to easy points going the other way. It wasn't his fault Mike Dunleavy jr. was getting open looks but not burying it. It wasn't his fault he was blessed with such an ungainly and unskilled center and several rookie backups as his bench who pick up more fouls than rebounds. If they fouled Yao off the ball I think he would have shot 3 free throws because he was behind the arc on the screen. Luther Head was already in motion to shoot the three ball before anybody could foul.

Nobody wins games with the rebounding margin 61 to 32 with the Warriors not very accurate or at the line too much. Plus we gave up too many easy points off turnovers and off a missed three ball.

Cause he's the coach, and players listen to the coach. Im not sure about the rules but Yao had his back against the basket and was not in shooting motion, doubt it would be 3 shots.

We were up 11, with 3 minutes left..it was time to slow down the game. Even if Houston makes some shots (which they did) the clock is on your side.

Bowen is a scrub. Murphy and Dunleavy's defense was terrible. Both weren't very good on the offensive end. Murphy made some shots but missed a lot and crucial free throws

    Fisher was solid for us.

Coaching sucked. Yao had his way in OT, Biedrins should have been on him and Dunleavy rotated every two seconds leaving Bowen open.

A frontcourt with Dunleavy, Murphy and Foyle just won't ever work.

Were they over the limit? I think a foul off the ball would be foul plus posession. I don't know what the deal was but the Warriors let this slip away. Not one person. Coaches in the NBA can't control their players all the time. That's how Baron Davis winded up not liking New Orleans. Again, players deviated from the offense and it's up to the players to figure out how to win and close games. The coach can only do so much.

That's what I'm saying. Those guys are best suited off the bench or something. Down the stretch, I'd rather have a more complete player.

Monty is partially to blame. The players of course shouldnt shoot so many 3's but maybe if Monty's offense was more productive then we would get more easy buckets. Lets just say Monty's offense works okay (I personally dont think it works all that well), even if the players ignore it and shoot threes its still his job to get them to stop. In crunch time we need for Baron to cotrol the ball, he needs to drive, we arent going to win if he brings the ball up the court and makes a pass and never sees the ball again. He is our franchise guy and he should be the centerpeice in nearly every play in OT. Instead we have Fisher thinking hes Jordan trying to take his defender, then passes to Dun or Murph with 4 seconds on the shotclock. Alot of little things can be fixed by the coaching, the players should know not to jack up so many threes but apparently they dont and its MONTY'S job to fix it.

It's hard to tell whether Monty is a good coach or not. The players rarely pay attention to him so it's hard to know whether the players are making plays or they are actually listening to instruction from the coach, ex: Last night's alley-op was improvised from Baron/Fisher. It really doesn't matter considering he doesn't have the players attenion/respect. It seems like he can't win.

Yao had the ball, the ball was inbounded to him then he passed it over to head and he nailed the dagger. So if Yao was fouled, he makes two FT's big deal, we call timeout advance the ball, game over.

To me, this game was so disappointing, not because we didn't come up with win or not foul Yao with 3 second left, but because it shows how weak our front line can be if somebody decide to attack our front court.

First, I have no idea how in the world Richardson outrebounded Foyle, Murphy and Dunleavy COMBINED by 9 to 8. 8 rebounds in 103 mins! Thus, we were outrebounded 61 to 32. Yes, it may be an one game thing, but it still shows how vunerable our front court is in terms of rebounding.

Second, defense. OK. Foyle may be too limited to put in 4th quarter. But, good center or pf can destroy Murphy like Yao did today. So, we send double team to that match up. Problem is that Dunleavy is also too slow to provide double team, while kinda check his own man. That's why Bowen killed us in 4th quarter. Either we get a big man who is not limited to play in 4th quarter, who can decently cover his own man, or who can provide double team while not leaving his own man wide open, this problem will continue.

Really, this is the game we should have won. Richardson outplayed TMac, combination of Davis, Richardson and Fisher gave 70 pts, and 3 pts were raining all 2nd half. Our front court may work in regular season, but when it comes to PO, where other team will attack our weakness to the end, our front court will really exposed...

Yes this was the most disappointing loss by the Warriors since I don't know, 1994.

Up front, Dunleavy played awful (I only saw 2nd qtr on.) He did a poor job doubling Yao, shot awful (2-10), and most importantly did not hustle to loose balls and lost a key rebound in OT (I think Rockets up 1 and Warriors about to go upcourt.)

The Warriors did not lose because of Monty, they lost because of the players out there at the end of the game, the finishers. Up 11 with 3-4 mins to go, what do the Warriors do? They shoot 3 straight 3s!!! Damn, never saw any good team do that.

Do you want to watch a team that walks the ball up every time and have Monty call out every play? I do not. The reason why the Warriors are compelling is that they are a fast break team that does not play Jeff Van Gundy offense. But, that does not mean jack up 3s without even looking down low. The Warriors played fairly well in the last minute of regulation by running a pick and roll with Murphy and having him attack the rim, he finished one and got to the line another time. Those are the types of plays that good teams run to put a team away. Is that Monty's fault? I doubt it, Baron and the others (Fish especially) have to know that and call and run that play when the time comes.

Bad loss, but only 1 of 82 games. Let's hope this game becomes forgettable (with several winnable road games coming up) rather than a reminder of what might have been.

Yeah I didn't really understand why they didn't take their time and run the clock out when they were up by 11. I guess they learned their lesson now. I hope.

Ok so maybe it's not completely Monty's fault, but he has to discipline those guys or keep on mentioning it to them that they can't settle for 3's. Geez, attack the basket and get fouled or something. Shoot and die. For sure this is one where we let slip away. I don't know why Foyle wasn't in there either. He had 4 or 5 fouls, so what. We were up 11, even if he fouls out, it's no big deal. Bring in Biedrins, he was tall enough and long enough/quick enough to bother Yao, if you guys had watched. Yes, I know it's one game out of 82, but by the end of the season if they don't make the playoffs by this one game, then they'll dread for sure.

I was telling Rudeezy last night that all the losses by the W's have to be "learning experiences." They're still a young, under-developed team that needs to fall before making it to the top (in our case, the playoffs). I would hope and expect the W's don't lose these games in the second half of the season.
