What is Gibbs thinking? Just what the DC area needed more uncertainty at QB. I liked Brunell in his prime, and I think he is a stand up guy, but seriously, does Gibbs think he gives Washington a better chance to win right now? Let Ramsey have a chance. If you are writing off the season, put in Jason Campbell and get him some reps. For those keeping score here is what Ramsey and Brunell accomplished in week 1: Ramsey- 6-11 for 105 yards and an INT Brunell- 8-14 for 70 yards Neither had a TD Both had poor rushing stats. Ramsey was injured in the 2nd qtr. and Brunell actually played a little longer to accomplish inferior stats. He (Brunell) also does not have the confidence of Redskin fans evidenced by their cascade of "Boooos" every time he took the field last year. I just don't see what Joe is thinking? Any thoughts?

My guess is that Ramsey is no longer in their future plans, no matter what. Therefore, if Brunell doesn't end up performing (and Wash's season is lost), then Campbell will get his starts in the latter part of the season.
Poor Ramsey. He never got a chance at all. Gibbs isn't thinking that much now a days. This team is gonna be bad.....
Actually, Brunell led them to all the points in the win. His stats arent inferior since he didnt turn ball over. This was the right move IMO

You bring in a 1st round QB, and your starting QB goes down, you should put in your 1st rounder. They could have found a #3 qb in the draft later on, so why not elevate to starter

Culpepper was #3 when is his first year behind I think it was Cunningham and then Jeff George. So this isn't the first case. If Burnell has looked better then you play the guy that looks better and gives your team the best chance to win. Apparently Burnell has played well which he did in preseason and is a better option for the team than Cambell by now. By week 10 or a little later then they might start to look towards the future with Cambell but not now unless Washington starts to play that well.
I think Brunell gives the 'Skins a better chance to win right now than Ramsey does. BF1 is right...Brunell did put points on the board. Campbell will start at some point this season, though. Probably after the 'Skins drop five or six straight games.
i think the worse move is by gibbs is trading his 1st round pick away because the redskins will have a top 10 pick, and by the way it looks like denver will now have 2 top 15 picks

To me getting a pro kicker close enough to bang a few through will not win you too many games. As I said, I do like Brunell (and am indifferent toward Ramsey) but I don't think One is much better than the other, so why not go with the younger guy to see if there's anything there to build on. I think Gibbs brought in Brunell so thats his guy. Ramsey came with the team.
