Looks like Jerome Pathon's comin to Greenbay for a workout as soon as thursday, anyone know much about him? I know he was with the Saints and Colts but thats all I can recall. *Scratch that Tuesday(today) he may not even leave with a contract.
Yea well he's a veteren leader that will help out. I want to see Fergy step up now. He's got a lot of talent but is still so raw yet. Terrance Murphy is the guy I am watching for now to. Looks like a 2nd round pick on a WR wasn't such a dumb idea after all. I am still looking for a good season if we run the ball. Favre can't handle all that pressure. Sherman screwed up against Detroit. We need to RUN THE BALL!
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Bleedblk&gld)</div><div class='quotemain'>He's a damn good 3rd down receiver.</div> lol I sure hope so!
Apparently the Packers passed on Pathon... http://www.madison.com/wsj/home/sports/ind...d=54041&ntpid=5 Interestingly enough, the article mentions something about trying to pry Koren Robinson away from the Vikings on Monday. Don't know what that's all about...
Korean would be dangerous if he could ever cure his stone hands! Maybe Brett could help him with that!
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>how does that rookie Murphy look like?</div> No one knows. He hasn't caught an NFL pass yet. He's been injured this pre-season. In practice, though, the coaches seem really impressed with him. I guess we'll find out what he's made of soon enough.
Murphy looked great in mini camp and at the start of training camp but he's been hurt since mid August. He should be back for the Browns though. Should be intresting. How about Kelly Cambell. Isn't he out there now. He's fast and can help on special teams as well.
MY GOD! On PTI the announced that Greenbay was looking at...gulp Freddy fricken Mitchell! Maybe TT wants to kill this team?
Mitchell couldn't make the Chiefs' roster and they have one of the worst receiving corps in the league. TT should save the plane fare... On the other hand, having a guy with several years of NFL experience as your #4 receiver rather than an untested rookie is probably a good idea. Maybe Ted Thompson should call Tim Brown and Jerry Rice while he's at it?
Actually there was a rumor that Rice had schedualed a work out in Greenbay before he signed with Denver. Too late for that though.
