I love the guy to death, but he has got to toughen up...he gets hurt every other game!!! Last time, a sore finger??? this time a BRUISED hip...every since he has been in the league, he gets hurt. In sports you fall, you get bruised...i know you have to take care of your players and body, but does anyone else agree that he might need to toughen up and play through a few of the small injuries??? maybe its just me.
KVH is not that kind of player. I cant picture him playing through an injury. He is always getting injured.
Some players in sports are just really injury prone like Julius Jones on the Cowboys, teams cant depend on them. You cant expect Keith to be there when you need him like last year in the playoffs.
Van Horn also isn't there when you need him in big situations. The guy is the opposite of clutch. You just hope Avery realizes who should play in the clutch. I feel the lineup that works in the clutch is Harris (or Daniels), Terry, Howard, Nowitzki, and Diop (because of big blocks).
Does anyone know our lineup in the final moments of game 6 last year against Phoenix Dirk, Stack and Terry I remember
I didn't like Stackhouse deciding not to call a timeout at the end of game in regulation dribble one on one and taking a bad shot. That was just as bad as Terry leaving Nash open.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Grateful for Van Horn With his team beset by injuries, Avery Johnson said he appreciated the 23 minutes forward Keith Van Horn played in Friday's 109-103 overtime triumph over Orlando. Van Horn missed Wednesday's game against Phoenix after bruising his right hip Monday against the Los Angeles Lakers. "That was really tough of him to come back," Johnson said. "He could have very well sat out that game. He wasn't 100 percent, but he came out and gave us what he had, and that was really unselfish." </div> Link
Van Horn was drafted right behind Duncan and several writers actually touted him as the best player in that draft. They must all have been on the west coast and had never seen a Wake Forest game. Duncan was the first player I had ever seen in college who controlled the defensive board with 3 or 4 players (or football walk-ons if they were playing Clemson or Fl. State; or Coach K's goon squad if they were playing Duke) crashing the boards as well as into him. Van Horn was touted as a pure shooter and all around talent, but despite some very good games in his career he has never had the ability to control the outcome of a game and will his team to win in the professional ranks. But for points off the bench as well as being a good rebounder, passer and foul shooter I wouldn't want to see him go. The loss of Stackhouse-- and I do not see him contributing at a high level any time soon-- has made Van Horn very relevant to the Mavs. I expect at this stage of his career he knows his body pretty well and realizes a small injury can become very serious if you try to ignore it. At the same time, he is a highly compensated pro and will play if the team needs him. I do think the bottom line is with Stack out, we can't afford to lose Van Horn's points off the bench; so the coaches must be trying to use him in tight games and give him room other nights.
