Last night Igoudala lead the sixers in scoring, AI and webber shot less than 20 shots each, and Dalembert got 18 rebounds.

If they keep spreading the ball like this and Dalembert keeps showing up on the boards and D, the sixers could make some serious noise this season

The thing is, this team is plagued with inconsistency. At times, they are clicking on all cylinders and getting everybody involved on offense and everything. But for a lot of the year the story of the season has been AI and CW carying the load of the offense. I think this team needs some more time together, around All Star break time this team should really start clicking. Before they make any noise, they have also get to get it together on the defensive side on the floor. The 76ers haven't been this bad on defense in a while and I honestly don't think they should be as bad as they are on defense. They are pretty well rounded, they have a player who has the ability to steal the ball well in Allen Iverson, a solid defender in Andre Iguodala, and a top shot blocker in Dalembert. The thing is, most of the starters lack 1 on 1 defense and that is really hurting the 76ers so far this season as offenders penetrate the defense with ease. Mo Cheeks has to be more strict on these players because they are not discipline on defense. I could barely watch the Miami game on friday because Philly's defense was soo horrid, the Heat were shooting around 60 to 70% from the field at half time.

Once this team gets back to the team like last year, which was forcing the most turnovers a game in the league, then really think they could turn some heads especially since they are tops in the league in scoring. They will really turn some heads when/if that happends.

First of all it was against the Raptors. What team can't look like perfection when they play that ball club? However in order for this team to be successful all they have to do is four things. It sounds so simple, but only elite teams are capable of all four of those things. And those things are:

    1. Rebounding

    2. Playing consistent

    3. Defending

    4. Playing with leads

The thing that gets me so worked about this team is that our players are CAPABLE of doing all of those things the thing is that they are just not doing it. It would be a different story if it was the Kings for example and we know guys like Peja and Bibby can't play defense therefore whatever you do, they won't get any better defensively. But guys like Iguodala, AI and Sam could play solid defense but they are just not doing it consistently.

Rebounding. Believe it or not, they are a pretty solid rebounding team if you ask me. Sammy & Webber both average double figures in rebounding, while Iguodala averages 6-7 RPG I believe and Korver rounds that off with about 4-5 RPG. It's really not the bad however the thing that really screws us over on rebounding is that when it counts that's when our guys suddenly forget to box out. Why? I have no idea; it?s always in the mist of when a team is making a run and our rebounding woes hurts us even more. Now as far as playing with leads?I've seen this team play with big leads and thing with them is that they try to maintain the lead instead of trying to add on to the lead. Once they get a lead they are like "Okay, lets just keep this up for X amount of minutes", it should be like "Okay, we got they?re number now lets try to embarrass them". That?s the attitude they should have. At the of day though, when you look at the big picture it?s really all about being consistent and consistency is a term the Sixers obviously don?t like since they can?t play with it night in and night out.

Iverson and Webber should be the two catalysts for this team...I dont necessarily think spreading the ball around would work because you're asking specialists to carry heavier scoring loads- Korver is a shooter; AI2 thrives off transition and openings; Dalembert scores off putbacks and dunks...so to say that this team would be better with a more varied scoring output, I dont necessarily agree with...

hey could make some noise in the NBDL

i`m a sixers patron and i`ve seen enough bad performances against mediocre opponents this season not to get carried away by a blowout win over a very bad team who played even worse than normal

They (Toronto) lead Orlando right now at the start of the 4th by 2. So I gues that makes it:

    Orlando
    Miami
    Atlanta
    NJ
    Charlotte

    OT games

    Washington
    Seattle

Thats 7 NBA teams that didn't look perfect playing Toronto. 5 of which are possible playoff contendors.

Doesn't say much. I am not going to take that comment sarcastically either.

I think he's trying to say that the Raptors are better than people think. That the Sixers having a good game against them means more than we give it credit for. Only trouble is, he's wrong.

Rebouding is IMO the most important stat in basketball. You need to rebound to win. By looking at the Sixers roster I would expect them to be a good rebounding team, but their not. I think Cheeks needs to push them harder. All the contending teams have had a guy who can get at least 10+ boards a game. Duncan, Shaq, Wallace, K-Mart(as a NEt), Dikembe Mutombo. I think if Dalembert can consistantly get 10+ a game.

I like how we're coming along though. Webber is a great defensive rebounder, Dalembert is doing a lot better too now.
