well guys....we're gonna have to hope a few things...first we gotta hope that Luther can keep doin what he's doin and AT LEAST get 15 PPG....T-Mac is prolly gonna have to score 30 or so, so thats a tough thing for him to handle evrery night. Not that he can't do it, just that it might be tough on his body for him to put up that many shots for an extended period of time. lets hope he can. next we NEED Stro to start CONSITENTLY contributing. we're gonna need like 17 and 9 from him over this stretch on decent shooting. Just catch the ball on the low block and slam it home! We can still do this!
MUTOMBO WILL MISS AT LEASET THE NEXT TWO GAMES <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">And in keeping with a Rockets season filled with injuries, Yao's replacement, Dikembe Mutombo, dislocated and cut the middle finger on his right hand and will miss at least the next two games. He is scheduled to be re-evaluated next Monday.</div> Source
Oh my. Things aren't looking rosy right now, and I hope that Yao will only miss about a month or so, not until February like someone said. The Rockets at this point can either give up and trade some veterans away or bring some veterans in to still stay in the playoff hunt. Either way, I'm pretty sure some changes will be made.
Great we could have easily won four of the next 5 putting us above the 500. Now I doubt we can beat Toronto. I kind of wish Yao could play through the injury. At least a quarter of the game would help a lot.
I we can get all the rest of our guys back in the next few weeks, it isn't inconcievable that we can be around .500 by the time Yao comes back. Something tells me,though, that Ryan Bowen isn't going to be in the starting lineup much longer ...
I'll be at the game Wed. against the Raps I'll take my chicken bones and rabbit blood and try to get this curse of injury off the Rockets. I'll be the guy in front of Toyota Center with a ring of fire around him while chanting. TMac is going to get frusterated with the double and triple teams he will see. S.Grahm will probably get a real chance to show his worth with the lack of size in the back court that the Rockets have found themselves in. L.Baxter too. I know we all hope they can show at least, some energy and hustle in these trying times.
I hope this doesn't allow Yao to start in the all-star game. I'm tired of seeing him start over more deserving players. Sad day for Rockets fans though.

If the all star game was based on how well you did during the season then it wouldn't be known as a popularity contest. Players in the ASG have always been voted in by their fans. Yao has many fans that want to see him, so he is more deserving. Don't be jealous just because he can hit a FT or acctually shoot a 10-15 footer. He is more talented than some fat centers that just foul people on their way to a dunk. IMO anyone with his body size and special priveledges can do that. Anyone.
Cmon guys keep yall head up lol, we aren't playing any really good teams during this strech, Raptors, Nuggets, Jazz, Hornets, then Golden State. I beileve we can win at least 3 of those games up there. We are still on a role, and I am just going to keep beileving.
