The nets have really been struggling and they need some help quick if they want to get a good start to lead the atlantic division. Either fire Lawernce Frank or get new big men in the frontcourt. It is dissopointing to see them lose at home against the bobcats. And also the "big three" is'nt working as good as everyone thounght they would. People what the F**K is going on?

Yea well , after that Bobcats game they won Denver and Warriors by playing great basketball. So your kinda late. Plus I really can't see how Frank can be blamed at this moment. He mixed the rotation and so far it's been going pretty well. We will just have to see what happens today against the Clippers

He shouldn't be blamed. It's the players. They've been coming in with a lack of energy and haven't been playing with sense of urgency. But like NbaBaller metioned, this is old news and so far the Nets seem to be turning things around. The Clippers who have been "struggling" as of late will be a good test for the Nets... And...umm.. LETS GO CLIPPERS!!! [IMG] (Hey, it's a division thing. Hope you understand [IMG] )

Isn't part of the coach's job to relate to the players and get them ready to play? If they aren't coming ready to play that could be saying something about how they feel about Frank.

It has nothing to do with the big three. All three of them have performed well this season, but you cannot do much in this league without any real inside presence. The Nets big men are not providing them with a inside presences or even a rebounding presence. The Nets don?t need a new coach they need new players. There are many serviceable big men out on the market right now. Trading a player like Mclinnis might be able to get you a good big man before the trade deadline. People are always to quick to look at the coach, but half the time it?s the talent the coach has at his service.

Your right. But what I was really trying to say is that players just weren't give it their all. It sounds the same, but there is soo much a coach can do. When the players are on the court they have to get after it and play hard the coach can only root them on and hopefully they take his words of wisdom. Coach Frank was getting techincals and everything, he was more into the game then the players but yet the guys on the court still couldn't play with that type of attitude. But this is old news now since the Nets seem to be getting things going again.

I'll say what I said all of last year when Nets fans got SO excited about the possibilities of the 'big 3'. You can't win without interior scoring and defense.

Everytime a team struggles in the East there is always the speculation of that coach getting fired. The season isn't even at its laf mark yet, give the Nets some time to gel before you fire the head coach. A firing of Frank would hurt the Nets more than help them.

The Nets need a coach with a backbone, and nuts for that matter.

Frank is young, and not well connected. Teams need a coach that have a relationship/knowledge of the refs and how to work them. They need a coach that knows the other coaches, as it often proves useful (for example, last year Nate called around campaigning for Shard to make the ASG).

Frank doesn't and has never run the Nets offense. Kidd has. The Nets have a lot of vets that understand the game so they avoid looking foolish. Once they start rebuilding Frank is going to look like a fool when they come out averaging 60ppg.

Coach Frank's seat was never hot..but a week ago I definately would have said it was starting to warm up a bit. The effort level just wasnt there. And it wasnt really anything to do with wins or loss, it just the vibe on the basketball court wasnt there. It was kind of as if the players werent buying into his system. But I think Coach frank realized his seat was getting a bit warmer as well, so he replaced talent with effort. And I think you see a big difference. Vaughn has brought perimeter defense and hustle to the 2nd unit to things that McInnis wasnt looking to provide. And replacing Marc Jackson with Padgett in the rotation has done exactly the same thing in the frontcourt. And I think that proves alot about the message Coach Frank is trying to send here...I dont care who the more talented guy is, if a guy is going to give me twice the hustle, then he is going to play. And the more talented guy is going to seat next to me on the bench and have a great view of the game for 4 quarters. And that type of message not only ends up trickling down to the roll players but it ends up hitting the star guys as well...and that is why you see the effort level of a Vince Carter pick up as well.
