Long story made short: I know this lady, she's a scout for a college in Houston. She says she knows this guy who's works in the trading area of the NBA. So basically, she said that Lebron told her friend that he plans to go to New York. You think it's true?

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting shapecity:</div><div class="quote_post">I doubt it. The new CBA makes it close to impossible for any superstar to leave their team.</div> How is that?
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting BobbyEscobar:</div><div class="quote_post">How is that?</div> Probably bird rights and being a restricted FA and stuff like that. And since the Cavs have him they can offer more than anybody else and he has to stay with them. So, basically he'd have to ask for a trade like Joe Johnson did. I doubt that would ever happen though.
I remember a couple months back there was a thread about a clause in Bron's contract that said he will get more money from Nike if he goes to a team like NY or LA. They do have bigger sports markets. I don't believe that Lebron would come out and say something like this. I'm always skeptical about: "I know a guy whos sister knows a guy, who knows a guy...." sources.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting SP23:</div><div class="quote_post">He already gets a lot of money from Nike, I have no idea why he would want more.</div>I agree, those trade clauses are so overrated, like LeBron doesn't make enough $$$ already playing for the friggin' Cavs.

L-james is gonna stay in Cavs atleast 4 more years because he is their franchise player. And i heard a rumor that Ny were gonna trade penny hardaway and antonio davis for kg and sczerbiak <<<.... what the heck kind of a deal is that.. Bad ripoff

I'm not saying that he'll go to NY, but never say never. That's just part of being a pro. It's pretty much out of the question though, the Cavs won't trade him. The fact alone that you know someone who knows who knows Lebron, isn't even good grounds alone to beleive it.
