Francis is a great guy off the court, but on the court he's just about the complete opposite of what we need on the Olympics team. Unless there's a dearth of NBA players willing to commit, I don't think he has a shot.
I agree that Francis is the opposite of what the team should consist of...the USA team needs shooters, passers, defenders, and smart decision makers...Francis is neither of those...

I like his character -- great competitor, wonderful teammate -- but I think we need players with higher basketball IQs on the Olympic team.
Francis isn't even getting it done for his own team in a regular NBA season.... So why would the Olympics even want him?
