Francis Wants to Play in Olympics

    Francis is a great guy off the court, but on the court he's just about the complete opposite of what we need on the Olympics team. Unless there's a dearth of NBA players willing to commit, I don't think he has a shot.

    I agree that Francis is the opposite of what the team should consist of...the USA team needs shooters, passers, defenders, and smart decision makers...Francis is neither of those...

    In my opinion, Francis is a decent shooter (a little streaky) and passer (when he doesn't have the blinders on), and a pretty good defender, but a spectacularly poor decision maker. I like his character -- great competitor, wonderful teammate -- but I think we need players with higher basketball IQs on the Olympic team.

    Francis isn't even getting it done for his own team in a regular NBA season....

    So why would the Olympics even want him?
