I would kill to see what kind of reaction Shaq had when he heard Kobe scored 62 in 33 minutes, eclipsing Shaq's career high... Although I have been one to completely ignore the whole Kobe-Shaq thing ever since Shaq left town this will be something I will wonder for a very long time... I'm sure some of you would say "Shaq couldn't care less" but deep down I'm sure he had a reaction to it, and I know it wasn't one being happy for Kobe. I guess we'll find out by how he comes out on Christmas against the Lakers!!!
KObe should have played the 4th quarter. If so he wouldve beat David robinsons 75 point performance. Kobes offencive arsenal is one of the best of all time (top 3). Wow i wish i couldve seen the whole game
What's also crazy about this is that Kobe shot at nearly .600 from the field. He truely is the premier guard in the league.
Amazing, he might have scored 80 if he played the fourth quarter. But to score 62 points in three quarters seems impossible! Big props to Kobe Bryant!
Amazing game by Kobe Bryant last night. The only thing which, bothered me was when Kobe got clothes lined by Josh Howard. I don't care about the hard foul, it's part of the game, but no one on this team stepped up to defend Kobe. If a team is going to take a cheap shot against your star, then someone needs to let people know one of their teammates is getting it right back. The Lakers need a goon and physical enforcer to make sure these things don't happen in the future. Rick Fox or Shaq used to be the guy to inflict pain when teams took cheap shots. This is why we need a player like Artest on the team. You know he's taking a flagrant foul on the very next play to let the Mavs know to never cheap shot Kobe again.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">MVP MVP MVP MVP MVP! MVP! MVP! Nuff Said.</div> Don't know about that. You are probably just real high on the emotions right now and I don't blame you. Well you can't say anything about Kobe. Everything that could have possibly been said has been said. Even God, while I think that's too much of a stretch that boy was simply on <font color=""Red"">FIRE</font> last night. You could never knock on a 60 point game, but his 60 point game made AI's and T-Mac's look...I don't know...but all I'm saying is that his 60 point game was something else, and compared to AI and T-Mac 60 point games Kobe was by far more effiecent. Major props to Kobe, I wonder how he is going to respond in his next game. I'm going to keep track of this because I wouldn't be surprised if he had another big night. I hate to say use this term, but he raped the Mavericks. Outscoring them on his own through 3rd quarters is...I don't know. If he was kept in the game for the 4th quarter who knows what would happen.
FORGET ARTEST......with KOBE playing like an MVP and the LAkers playing Defense like last nigth on one of the highest scoring teams in the NBA the lakers could go as far as the WCF......the only thing we need is for Odom to average between 18 to 21 ppg. on a consistent basis.
KOBE FOR MVP. You could call Jordan His Airness, You could call Lebron the King...but Kobe is the 8th wonder of the world and soon to be the GOD of Basketball.

Lamar Odom is consistently inconsistent. There's an 8 year history to support it. I wasn't very impressed with the defense last night. I saw the Mavs grab a lot of offensive rebounds. I also saw the Mavericks have wide open looks, but their shots just weren't falling. I'd say it was more bad offense, than good defense by the Lakers last night. The Mavs had 16 offensive boards last night, and had 20 more shot attempts.

The rest of the Lakers really did not do much. Lamar Odom especially. Although some of that could be faulted with Kobe's complete dominance of the game.. can you truely fault them for just watching him play?!
The only thing I'm worried about is Kobe trying to do the same thing again but this time coming up extremely short with alot of criticism. I wouldn't be too disappointed if he gets another 25+ point game with the W.
I hope he just lets the offense come to him in Orlando- if his shots are falling, than hopefully he'll keep shooting, if not- it'd be great to see him rack up a career high in assists because Orlando might double and triple team him.
holy S#@% a friggin monster i wihs i could of seen this game, Also a little wake up for the mavs to get more serious about D
Damn miss Kobe socring 62 had to work..came home and see the boxsorce and SEEM 62 by KOBEE............WOW

Sorry dude don't agreed...lakers lost a heart braker to the ROckets and Rockets only score 74 points....after three quaters Mavs had 61 points....30 points were score in the fourth quater when the bench was playing...missed shots are cause by good defense not by bad offense or else 5 starters of the Mavs would'n't avarege double figures every nigth.

The Lakers would have grabbed less offensive rebounds with Kobe shooting at 60%. But I did not see the game so I don't know. I believe Shape did see the game so if he says their defense wasn't anything special then I believe him.

Usually, when you get more attempts, it means you're not shooting well. And last night, they weren't. They may have had 20 more attempts than the Lakers did last night, but they made two less than us. You also have to take into account free throws. The only time they count the shot before a free throw is on an and one. I'm not sure how many we had last night, but we also shot 14 more free throws last night, 48 to the Mavs 30. And also, it's hard to get an offensive board when you made 50% of your shots. The Lakers were hitting at a very high percentage last night, and might have been higher had Kobe played in the 4th. To me, you're being a little too critical. However, I can't be in complete disagreement with you since I didn't see the game. However, from looking at the box, it seems like you're being far too critical on them.
