Joey Thomas will be starting in place of Amahd "touchy feely" Carroll next week against cleveland, Should be an improvement but I think we may not have seen the last of Carroll starting at Corner.

Ahh the greatest news of the day. I've heard rumors on the radio all week long but not an offical announcement. Good move I must say. I do think Thomas is the better corner and will start the rest of the season unless and injury happens. Good-bye Carroll. By far Shermans worse draft mistake as GM.

I know, We'll Jamal Reynolds was a pretty bad one too! We could of had Chris MUTHA BLEEPIN Gamble! One of the finest athletic machines to ever grace the college grid iron!

    Wasn't Reynolds Wolfe's last draft.

Yeah, it was Wolf's last draft.

Everyone's down on Ahmad Carroll, but I think he has the ability to be a good corner in the NFL. His penalties are frustrating, sure, but it's a bit early to be calling him a bust with one a season +1 game under his belt. Even though the penalties were killers on Sunday, he did hold Charles Rogers to 1 catch.

I do agree, however, that taking Carroll over Chris Gamble was downright retarded.

Drafting corners is a crap shoot anyways. Has Quentin Jammer or Terrance Newman panned out in their respected cities? I sure as hell haven't seen there names being called lately.

Agreed. Playing corner is one of the more complicated and difficult jobs in the NFL. I don't think college experience translates well to the NFL as a corner.

I thought Newman was doing a great job for the Cowboys?

Jammer on the other hand...yeah...isn't he still a nickel back?

Which is why when people bash Champ Bailey for getting burnt like TKO was doing to promote Nate Clements that everyone needs to understand that there is no "shut down" corner in the NFL as of now. Every corner gives up his big plays.

good I'd like to see Mike Hawkins get the start anyways. I think he's got better talent than both it's just that he's so raw it might be to early to throw him in there.
