Kobe walks on the floor knowing he's gonna beat you. He never has any doubt in his mind. You know it. You can see it in his eyes, when hes ready to go on spree. He is clearly the best at this moment.

I'd take A.I at a close 2nd. The guy is a soldier on the court. He plays thru anything. Kobe and AI are gonna kill this year for the US team.

I do agree AI is a close second, but Kobe right now is playing at a Jordan level.

Wtf? 81 points? I honestly thought for the first 5 minutes after knowing he scored 81 was that it was a typo or an error.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting durvasa:</div><div class="quote_post">Tmac, in my opinion, is just as good a defensive player as Kobe. Obviously he's a true small forward and doesn't quite have the mobility and quickness of Kobe, but his length gives him other advantages (shot blocking, defensive rebounding, guarding power forwards). McGrady's defense in the playoffs last year was about as good as it gets, and he's been very good this year as well (when he's healthy).</div>
yep t-mac is right there at the same level with kobe and AI, and guess what kobe and iverson takes 35 shots a game, if t-mac does that, then t-mac would average 35 ppg with no problem and last year in the first round of the playoffs t-mac was nasty he carried the rockets to 7 games against a way stronger talentwise mavericks.... if van gundy lets t-mac to score whenever he wants and get unlimited shot attempts watch t-mac's performance... and when t-mac goes 5-15 he wouldnt really want to shoot the ball anymore, but it would be a different story with kobe after kobe goes 5-15 he still takes more shots and thats why everbody thinks he has a good game everyday

Best of the generation? Its hard to say. The best RIGHT NOW is a pretty clear cut answer and that answer is Kobe.
