I would like a couple of plane tickets to NYC. A room for my wife and me at a 4- star hotel. Tickets to the Stephen Colbert show. A steak at the Mesa Grill. And courtside tickets at Madison Square Garden to see any pro basketball game: say, the Mavericks and Knicks. I'd call over to Josh Howard and tell him that my brother and I have had season tickets to the Wake Forest basketball games since 1983 and that I saw every game he played at Wake (except the untelevised away games) and that we are all proud of the way he has worked so hard and that I hope my son will have the same work ethic and respect that he has earned. Josh then writes down my name and address and sends me courtside tickets to the Dallas - Spurs game with an invitation to crash at his place since he has to leave on a flight that night for a road game. I can dream can't I while I'm opening my gifts of socks and ties? Merry Christmas to all basketball fans!
