<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Clif25:</div><div class="quote_post">I am hoping that maybe Monta Ellis will get his chance soon to shine. I have little doubt that he couldn't put up a good performance too, if given the chance, especially since he would at first surprise a lot of opponents, I think. I am hoping for this because Baron playing 40 minutes per night isn't great all the time. And maybe Monta could sometimes be a good alternative to Fisher, or maybe play together with Fisher and become an interesting duo in the back court off the bench. And since Pietrus is out, maybe.

I don't know, but I think a second unit of Ellis, Fisher, Dunleavy(Pietrus), Diogu, Zarko(or Andris) would be very interesting.

Ok yes, my random thought for the moment. But my thinking is that Diogu probably got a lot of his chances because the Pistons were probably focused highly on Baron and JRich, and didn't think about Diogu. I think this is one of the things that propels Pietrus' offensive game quite often. And I am thinking that maybe the same could be done for Ellis, especially since he has many skills offensively. The Ellis to Diogu rookie tandom, could be energizing for the team, especially Baron and Jason; that is if they had that chance-even just for maybe 5 minutes during a game.</div>

Yeah. Pistons certainly focused on Davis, Richardson, and Murphy, and both Richardson and Murphy had bad games. Half of Diogu's points came from Davis' assists or put back dunks. Nevertheless, he played very well, surprised Pistons' impressive front court players, and even to the point where Ben had trouble guarding him and Sheed was frustrated guarding him. Hope Diogu will get some quality mins from now on.

I am also worried about Davis' min, and since Fisher mainly plays bak up SF, I hope we can get some contribution from Monta. He looks lost when he get mins, but he really was fast in limited mins. So, once he gets comfortable, who knows...

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Kensaku:</div><div class="quote_post">Ike's performance really showed how valuable an inside presence can be; sadly, an inside presence is probably more valuable than Murphy's overall game, as spectacular as it has been. Some have proposed starting Murphy at C and Ike at PF, but that would just be a disservice to Murphy as he would just get murdered defensively. Ike at C would probably result in the same (defensively).

We must trade Foyle and/or Murphy. We're not going to get anything for Dunleavy, unless Jim Barnett is the GM of the opposing team. Hey, how about Primoz Brezec?</div>
Primoz Brezec is kind of a wuss inside as well and probably softer on D. [IMG]

We're a team of softies. Foyle, Dunleavy, and sometimes Murphy. Murphy's tough on the boards, but soft on D, kind of like Dirk Nowitzki.

I think an awesome future would be Taft at Center, Ike at power forward. Andris Biedrins as the bridge between PF and C. I want to see Biedrins bulk up before its decided that he's a center. He could be in Jermaine O'neil, Marcus Camby or Jeff Foster territory in terms of his body. Anyway, we don't know what these rookies are like for the long term because they are rookies, but they have to be better than what we got at the 4 and 5 spots. Murphy can put up numbers, but I think he does a lot of things that affect the team in a negative way sometimes. It's like the little things.
