<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> Has anyone seen our spunky, little Bulls? "We had a lot of head-hanging and guys feeling sorry for themselves and they took it to us after that," Bulls coach Scott Skiles said after the Cleveland Cavaliers came from eight down in the fourth quarter Thursday night with a 15-0 run that culminated in a 108-100 victory. "What has happened to us of late," Skiles said, "is we have not responded." Yes, this team bears little resemblance to the Bulls who made their fans proud last season. And the team that put the D in defense is finding itself just on the fence these days. Thursday it fell off and below .500 with its sixth home loss in its last seven games. The loss marked the fifth time in the last seven games the Bulls have given up more than 100 points. Last season, the Bulls gave up more than 100 points once in the next 30 games after they started 0-9. For the season, teams scored more than 100 in a quarter of the team's games. This season, it's half the time. Do the Bulls miss Eddy Curry that much? "I don't think he got to the [free-throw line either]," Chris Duhon said of Curry in reference to a Bulls problem. "I don't think there's a big difference without Eddy."</div> <div align="center">Source</div> Usually not a fan of Sam Smith?s work, and this article is no different. I still see the same scrappiness this season that this team was playing with last year, but the lack of a post presence has hurt us a lot. Losing Eddy Curry definitely hurt us this off season, but I see the subtraction of Davis? as an even bigger factor than many people are making it out to be. He was our version of a Charles Oakley a guy who would protect the paint, and intimidate other teams. You knew what you would get from those guys each and every night, and that nothing would come easy in the paint. This year, with Chandler and Sweetney down low, teams are not exactly intimidated. Post offense (Curry) and overall post presence (Davis) where lost in the trade we made this past summer. Though I love Sweetney he is a hard worker, and will be something special when he loses a bit of weight, we are asking to much of him by making him into the primary post option down low. Especially, when you consider his size, and agility, or lack they?re of. The effort is still there, although, the record does not show it the Bulls are the same team they where last year, minus a big man. The Bulls are one trade away from returning to the glory that they experienced last year.
