i think that whole offense was centered around getting Moss the ball, no that he is gone the other WRs arent doing anything, so the RBs are getting 8 man fronts
I'm telling you, if you think this is because Moss is no longer around, you don't know the game of football. The Vikings did lose Moss, and yes, that is a big weapon. That's not the problem. Culpepper lost his QB coach and Offensive Coordinator. He looks terrible. He has players open, but he's completely rattled. The problem is much bigger than losing Moss. It starts with the coaches and offensive line. It follows with Culpepper being completely shaken...

Matt Birk is out. Offensvie Coorinator is out. Mike Tice is a horrible coach.
I too did not watch this game, but if it is anything like the first game, having Moss would make no difference. Culpepper hasn't had enough time to complete a pass, and when he does he is so rattled he just doesn't see the open men. Is there anyway we can find someone to be a real offensive coordinator? I think the lesson should be learned...

Culpepper doesn't look like himself out there regardless of if Moss is there or not. He threw 5 INTs today, that just isn't typical Culpepper play. I'm surprised to see the Vikings doing so poorly, I expected them to come out looking good this season.
I agree that losing moss isnt the problem, teh problem is culpepper isnt thatgood, and having moss covered that up. Plus, D is way over rated. result, bears win the north

In fact, I think it was Moss that was passing the ball...and running, and blocking. Thanks BF1...you really cleared things up for me.

well when u lose 90 touchdown player u are loseing a big thing but yea he needs to step up as Qb and the o line is kinda hurt

well the offensive line is absolutly horrible, Birk was a HUGE loss, and VF is right Culpepper can not get the freakin ball off. But is that an excuse for 5 interceptions i think. Also Moss is a big part of it, Now that Moss isnt double covered and not one WR is the focal point of the defense the defense can play the coverages they like to play. Thats a big hit to the whole offense. Plus they arent gettin the running game going and Tice is not stressing it...which he should because then the d will play the pass even more, not good for Culpepper resultin in 5 interception. idk i think Tice should be on the Hot Seat the fact that hes not winning with this type of talent is kinda scary. Or at least competing. It wasnt two close games it was two blowouts...
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (J-E-T-S 1083)</div><div class='quotemain'>after seeing the Vikes last week i wouldnt be surprised at all to see the Bengals win this game, infact i picked them to win it in the predictions thing we have.</div> hmmmm maybe i should be the next Oracle what do ya think VF?
to say that moss isnt the problem, and then say that culpepper is the problem is kind of an oxymoron, because if moss were still in minnesota, this thread would not be up right now, because they would be 1-1 (they still wouldve lost to the bengals), because if moss were here culpepper would still be considered one of the best qbs in the game would he not?
I still think this team isn't as bad as we may think. I had Cincy and Tampa as really good wild card contending teams in my predictions this year. Minny lost to a couple of hot teams. I believe they'll rebound at home against the Saints next week.
