Friday night, our own Pape Sow dropped 27 points, 24 rebounds (8 off.) as his RimRockers beat the the Toros 108-101. He has been pretty solid, but I still wouldn't call him up just yet. Let him build on these performances for few more weeks and then, maybe he can come up and show his improvement among the big boys. But he's definitly been posting up excelent numbers in the D-League averaging 18.4 points and 10.7 rebounds (execluding tonight's performances).
That's really great news, it's nice to have some projects that improve. Here's to Pape Sow showing his improvement in the NBA and being a very good player in the future.
He's doing good in the D-League.. Hope he could do that in the NBA too for the Raps.. but that 3.55 TOPG isn't quite good..
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting og15:</div><div class="quote_post">Pape owns the D-League, just give him the MVP right now...</div> Yeah, call him up already, he'll be up there with Brand and AI for MVP consideration soon enough. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> He's doing good in the D-League.. I am very pleased with Pape's performance, but have we sent him down for the rest of the season? We should call him up already
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting P.A.P.:</div><div class="quote_post">Yeah, call him up already, he'll be up there with Brand and AI for MVP consideration soon enough.</div> I think he was talking about the NBADL MVP award not the NBA MVP award.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting The_Answer:</div><div class="quote_post">I think he was talking about the NBADL MVP award not the NBA MVP award.</div> I'm pretty sure he meant the NBA MVP, which is obviously well deserved as well. IMO, it's down to four players: - Brand - Palacio - Iverson - Pape
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Purple Fever:</div><div class="quote_post">I'm pretty sure he meant the NBA MVP, which is obviously well deserved as well. IMO, it's down to four players: - Brand - Palacio - Iverson - Pape</div> This man is correct.
I don't think this shows how good Sow is, but rather how bad the D-League is. I've seen a few games on Raps TV, and the level of competition is nowhere near the NBA. I think Pape is the best free throw shooter on his team.
man...we should just release aaron williams and bring up pape. Make some room for him and he can get some pt. he brings some rebounding and atheticism(sp?). He's better than Hoffa at not picking up fouls, that's for sure.

Umm apparently pape looked really impressive in the D league because the toronto Scouts have already been talking about developing him into a wing defender because supposedly he has the quickness to do it and he also has real long arms. So they want him cv cb to play together with on defence CV on the center cb on pf and pape on sf and on offence CV on small CB on power pape on center
