Its the decade anniversary of the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls featuring Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen and Dennis Rodman, they went through the Regular Season and won 72 games. This is the most wins in a season in history. The Top 5 looks like this:
    1. 1995-96 Chicago Bulls 72 - 10 (.878)
    2. 1971-72 L.A. Lakers 69 - 13 (.841)
    3. 1966-67 Philadelphia 76ers 68 - 13 (.840)
    4. 1985-86 Boston Celtics 67 - 15 (.817)
    5. 1991-92 Chicago Bulls 67 - 15 (.817)
At this point the Detroit Pistons sit 21-3 with a win over Golden State tonight. All of these 5 teams were at the same stage as the Detroit Pistons are being 20-4 or 21-3. Chicago had an astounding 41-3 start. If the Pistons continue along this season and at least reach 67 wins, it will break some records! Not only will it be a good season, but all 5 teams won the championship that year, and for all you Detroit fans, you want those 70 wins now more then ever! And in this decade anniversary of the Chicago Bulls 72-10, we might be looking at a repeat performance.... Yes Yes Yes i know they had Jordan but its nice to dream, even if im not a Detroit fan lol.

I think its pointless if they did. I mean their starting 5. If they put out effort every night to run and win a game when they are guaranteed 1st seed I think that is stupid. Especially around Mar-Apr when teams that are fighting for playoff spots are putting out a dog fight. It is easier to just give up games and save it for the playoffs.

I hope that the Pistons could achieve something like this, but I think it would either cause an injury/major injury or no gas left come playoff time.

^^Exactly, they'll more than likely want to rest their legs.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Arroyo, Dice, and Darko starting near the end of the year. Giving big minutes to bench players will get them ready for the playoffs.

Mmm i dont think they could with their bench, but looking at 60 would be nice. They did destroy the spurs. So they might be able to just take some of the easier games lightly, and pick it up against the spurs and heat.

There is a slim chance the Pistons can win 70 games. But if there is any team in the league that may reach that feat, it would be Detroit. I definitely see them losing more than ten times.

long as the Pistons have homecourt throughout the playoffs then I don't really care If they win 70. Winning that many games will put you under even more pressure in the playoffs to win. You have to win It all, no excuses for winning that many games. I doubt they will go for that many anyway. No point risking It late on in the year.

If no one gets injured I dont see why not

They're disciplined enough to beat anyone in the league, and solid enough to pretty much guarantee wins against bad teams

Being the better team doesnt always equate into a win. Thats why we have upsets [IMG]

Not deep enough? watch the pistons play man, they have Dale Davis, Dyess, Carlos Arroyo, Mo Evans, and soon theyll have Lindsey Hunter too. Thats better than Portland's Starting Lineup lol
