Rod Thorn should never move the telephone from his side...yes, we are playing well now, but Jason Collins isnt heathly...and the way it seems now, he will be in & out the lineup all year. So we are going to need some consistent size in the rotation...

I heard a recent rumor that went something like this:

To NJ: Swift, David Wesley, Rafer Alston, Lonny Baxter, 1st rd pick, 2nd rd pick

To Hou: R. Jefferson, Marc Jackson, Jeff McInnis, Scott Padgett

Has anyone else heard anything similar?

I really don't want to lose RJ, especially if the best player we're getting back is Swift, who isn't even guaranteed to become an all-star with us. Also, Padgett is finally starting to find a groove, why trade him?

I really like Padgett and a lot of the times,he gives the Nets something off the bench. As of now, I would trade anyone on the bench except Padgett because I think as time passes Padgett will provide more.

Why would we want another backup point guard of Alston when we have Vaughn. I really don't like him anyway. Wesley is small and he plays SG. He would give teams advantages on the Nets. Overall this trade is a ripoff and should NOT be done.

I was watching the Lakers game and think the Lakers are in a dire need of a point gaurd though Smush plays decently. Jeff McInnis still has a repuation of a good point gaurd and I think he fits the mold of PJ's liking of bigger point gaurds. He pushes the ball, has a nice midrange and has played with a superstar in LeBron before. SO, I think if we can trade Jeff for Chris Mihm it would owrk out for both team. Chris is athletic, rebounds well, can run, and has a nice mid range jumper to him. I am unsre if the Lakers are willing to let him go since it would make kwame their only 7 footer and I don't think they want to give Bynum big minutes yet.
